u guys were discussing the players that will make it to the senior team so i just made this thread instead of the Argentina vs Brazil one

Anyways im gonna start by saying i dont think anyone deserves the goalie spot more than Carrizo right now! Ustari is good, Romero, Montoya are all great goalies but Carrizo has proven just a little bit more than they have

speaking of the RB position i think Ferrari Deserves it more than anyone after him comes Zabaleta and thats about it! Mercado is a good defensive player so i would play him as a CB! if he actually becomes cmfortable with that spot! other than that Fazio, Palleta who's not an average player hes one of the best defensive players out there, Garay, Millito is still there although i cant trust this guy, Burdisso

As for the midfield i would take all three Gago, Masche, Banega! they all bring something different to the team! Maxi, Leto, Di Maria, Moralez, Belluschi, Sosa, Messi, D`alessandro!

and i really prefer Saviola over Tevez! with all due respect but Saviola brings something that neither Tevez or Messi bring to the team! but there are a lot of options even Lavezzi could get a shot! Pavoni, Higuain and of course the main event Aguero :p and plz make sure he gets the number 10!

Are you talking from this U20 side?

I'd say that definatly Banega should be given a chance, maybe not right now since he is so young, and he might just be overwhelmed and look lost, much like Gago IMO, but given more time they will be fine.

Also maybe Moralez, if his size doesnt hurt him and he becomes a little less selfish.

Tevez and Saviola are different kinda attackers imo. What Saviola doesnt get a lot of credit for is off the ball movement. Even when he's without the ball, he's still making the defenders work. Plain and simple he compliments a true number 9 more than anyone we have. Others have written him off and he hasn't even turned 25 yet scores goals whenever he gets playing time. He's done:rolleyes:

Carlito has balls! He fights for every ball and never gives up.
ok, he's a little selfish. But was I only one that heard the saying " the winner always wants the ball" ? and tevez gave it up when it's necessary. He gave that one up to Roman didn't he?

and why are people so confident that saviola will get legitimate playing time in real madrid?

No one has questioned the balls of Carlitos nor have they criticized his game or unselfishness. You can't deny that he at times has tried to do a bit too much with the ball when he shouldn't. Thats a trait of all young attacking players most out grow it and some don't.

As for El Conejito getting legitimate playing time at Real, nothing is guaranteed other than the fact that he will be afforded a chance to earn some time to where at Barca it wasn't going to happen regardless of injuries.

Nothing any other attacker we have has done anything that clearly and definitively makes Saviola look like the odd man out. He's young, talented, fast and has proven he can play effectively at a World Cup. Let's not write him off yet.

I don't think anyone has written off Saviola, he will definately get back in the NT squad providing he plays first team football.

It's easy to forget how young all these players are, Messi 20, Aguero 19, Tevez 23, Masch 23, Gago 20, Higuain 19 and Saviola, who seems to have been around forever is still only 25. Lets give them time, they will get better and better (it's often said that outfield players are at their peak from the ages of 28 to 32 - so they all have plenty of time) which can only be good for Argentina. :D

True they're all too young and still have time to even become better than what they are now dont forget its a new generation thats why our whole team is kind of young but dont exclude guys like Burdisso, Gonzalo, Millito, Aimar, D`alessandro cause these guys as well have what it takes to make it to NT so i wouldnt be surprised and i can asure u that every spot is gonna be faught over on the NT

Easy. Saviola is bouncy.
