Thought it might be an idea to start this thread based on who will be Arsenal's top scorer.

Each participant shall select their prediction of the top three scorers in the Arsenal team. Goals count in all competitive games. These are Barclays Premier League, UEFA Champions League, FA Cup and Carling Cup goals. Select your top three and the person who gets it right wins.

In the event of a tiebreak, each participant must specify the TOTAL NUMBER OF GOALS SCORED by Arsenal in all competitive matches this season. This again consists of Barclays Premier League, UEFA Champions League, FA Cup and Carling Cup goals. This must be included in your post where you specify your top scorers.

If you're feeling bold you can say the number of goals you think your top three will score each, but this will not count towards the score - only the order is relevant.

Also, just to make you aware, names can be submitted up until the team is announced for Arsenal's first competitive match of the season, which will be the Champions League qualifier if my memory serves me correctly.

Anyway, now that the rules are out of the way let's have some fun! :D

1)Van Persie (28)
2)Eduardo (19)
3)Adebayor (14)

My top three is:

1. Robin van Persie (28 goals)
2. Emmanuel Adebayor (23 goals)
3. Eduardo da Silva (19 goals)

And my tiebreaker (total number of goals scored by Arsenal this season) will be 139.

Its funny everyone mentions cesc, and our new signings but not RVP who IMO is going to be a beast next season so long he doesn't get injured. If RVP did not get injured last season, I think he would have netted in the 20's.

TBH I don't think he'll get enough Prem games to get 12 goals.

i think wenger will rotate him and ade alot

and he should play alot if ade pisses off to the african nations

i fully beleive he will develope into a much better player than ade too, which wouldnt be hard because ade is more likely to miss and open goal than he is to score in one

And yes, because scoring goals in the championship is an accurate way of assessing a players ability to score in the Premiership. Bobby Zamora ring any bells?

Perhaps you shouldn't have a go at players without good reason. Ade has done a lot for this team and just because you support Birmingham, Bendtner is not going to come in straight away and kick a now established player out of the team.

lol im not going completely off his b ham time

i mean he gave up at the end of the year and diddnt care

but ive seen his talent first hand and i think he will become a similair player to ade but alot better

his close control from what i saw is excellent, he can whjip quality balls in from the left with his quick feet finding space to deliver

hes a good headerer of the ball and probably stronger and taller than ade too

for a striker, ades finishing is awful...i respect him as a player but hes not good enough if he doesnt create more or score more frequently

Season 2006 - 07 Competition Apps Gls
League 21+8 8
Europe 6+2 0
FA Cup 2+1 2
League Cup 3+1 2
Com. Shield 0 0
Total 32+12 12

not good enough in a second season imo for a striker

under 2 years of wenger tuition bendy>ade

thats my prediction, if u dont like it so be it
