What happened with Foe? It looked bad. He just collapsed on the field and didn't appear to be breathing, so the ref had him carted off on a stretcher and resumed the game with him getting a tube shoved down his throat less than six feet from the field.

I had a similar situation, well I don't know if that's what happened to him, but from the looks of it, it was. I passed out about 3 summers ago, from dehydration, from being out on the job, and too much physical activity and not enough water. Probably once he was put on IV, he came around, that happened to me, when the ambulance go to my house, and they put me on the IV, I came around.

Hopefully it wasn't something else more, and he will make a full recovery.

I'm looking for reports, not testimonials. This looked to me and the people I was watching the game with more like a possible annurysm than dehydration.

Totally, csh---seeing him collapse and his eyes roll up in his head (in slow motion, no less--thanks, Galavision!) was one of the most horrifying things I've ever seen in a match on TV. (Perhaps that full-on collision between those two KC Wizards where both fell unconscious from six feet up would be up there, as well.)

The announcers said he had been rushed to the emergency room of a nearby hospital in Lyon, and that they would transmit further reports, but they never did.

I kept thinking of Princess Di and the incredibly SLOW reaction of French EMTs. Even the announcers kept saying that they didn't know why he had been kept out on the field all those minutes while people just stood around.

Very scary...

Soccernet still says "no information was available on his condition".

If it were just dehydration, wouldn't they stick an IV in him, bring him around and let everyone know immediately that he's fine?

It did look more like an aneurysm. I'm also confused why they put a tongue holder in place but weren't giving him any oxygen.

If a player at the Semifinal of a major soccer tournament in a Western European nation can't get rapid emergency treatment.....

As I said before, the treatment he received was slow and inadequate.
