OK Revs Fans, what are your thoughts of a Central/South american style Barra attending Gillette for Revs games? After attending the gold cup i saw the atmosphere and man the revs need something like that for a fan base, plus I'm tired of reading about those Barra Bravas for DC United....overhyped in my opinion

Seriously, I would love some more Latin flavor to our games. Please do your best and drum up some support! I've tried and well...easier said then done...the Revs don't exactly market to the Lation community which pisses me off big time.

Just as long as they don't have the Barra Brava arrogance or violence, I'm cool with it.

i'm loving the support guys, its a work in progress i'm actually gonna see if i can head out to one games this month just to see the revs atmosphere before i dive into this project...jajaja...I mean we can't go all out the way they do it down in el salvador (Flares, Smoke bombs, etc) but we can create some great chants and create a great vibe though plus i don't think the family audience can understand spanish either way...lol...VIVA LA REVOLUCION!!!!!!!

It's not like nobody is trying to get some energy at Revs games. The people here on Bigsoccer are already at games doing our best to be loud and energetic, but we're still few in number compared to the soccer mom contingent.

But hey, we would love some more support! If you've got some Salvadorans or others who want to add some Latino flair to our supporter section, Bienvenidos a la Fort! The only thing I would say, as others have mentioned, is there is no tolerance for hooliganism! After tonight's game, the Houston supporters came over to our group and we all drank together, because our bonds as fellow football lovers is bigger than our loyalties for different teams.

But assuming that, I think a Latino style supporters group would kick ass, and would work quite well with the Riders and Revs Army.

i'm not knocking the support, you guys seem to have your stuff together...but like you said about the ratio between the fanatics to soccer moms is not there yet thats why i'm trying to see how i can help out that ratio lol. it's difficult to bring people that far from the city for the reasons mentioned in previous threads i've read but right now i got at least a good 20 strong plus it takes time to organize something like this, hopefully i'll visit the fort for the DC game:D

Better yet, visit the Midnight Riders tailgate pre-game if you can. There are people there who should be willing to share their vast experience with organizing and maintaining a group like this. You'll get more info outside then inside. I think this all sounds like a great idea. That said, I'm partially thinking I'd prefer to see you and your friends just join the Riders. Then again, maybe having a separate group might make some people more comfortable? For example, if I were a recent immigrant, maybe I'd be more comfortable with people who understood my culture? Even if we all hang out next to each other, it lets assimilation/camaraderie happen at everyone's comfort level.

I would like to see us all tailgating side-by-side too, that would be ideal.

I agree with all that Rory said.
