Breckin Myer playing Jon and Jennifer Love Hewitt as Liz the vet. Garfield will be CGI. No word on who will voice the orange fat cat seeing as Lorenzo Music died a couple years ago.

shouldn't be a very challenging CGI project since all they have to do is have a fat orange cat laying on the floor.

I've heard Bill Murray is voicing Garfield.

Sweet jesus. Is there a cartoon/throwback/piece of nostalgia they won't turn into a 90 minute crap-o-rama? Is nothing sacred? Are there no original ideas left? What's next, live action Snorks? Hi and Lois Go To Tokyo?
Isn't John Lithgow, like, 65? He can't play Jon.

They want to make a movie out of this freaking strip? Sweet Hay-zeus. I would rather spend 90 minutes watching paint dry.

I actually know someone who thinks Garfield is the funniest comic strip ever.
I also think he's never been laid.

Where did you get John Lithgow from? The first post on the thread says Breckin Meyer is playing Jon.

I was obviously blind with rage. Breckin Meyer -- whoever he is -- isn't right for the role either. It has to be either: 1) Christopher Walken, 2) Steve Buscemi, or 3) Schwarzaneggar.
