Hey guys, I will hopefully be going to the Revs-RSL game next weekend. Was wondering what you guys do for tailgating and where the best place for the "away supporters section" should be for me to try and buy a ticket. Or just buy the cheapest ticket and sit where ever there arent fans.

I am a member of the Rogue Cavaliers Brigade and we tailgates in the middle of the Rice-Eccles parking lot. The RCB sits in section E38. While the other supporter group tailgates on the far side of the parking lot. If you are looking for the cheapest tickets you should wait until you get into town and pick up a ticket at a KFC for $14 Hope that answers your questions.

that's the famous "colonel's corner" right?

i'm another revs fan who will be out there for the game. if danishduke and i wanted to stand and yell and make noise, would we be able to do that in that corner section? or would we have relatively quieter families complaining to security? we're hoping to be able to be our usual noisy selves, but it's not like we're bringing enough people for us to get our own away supporters section.

i was at the RSL-revs game last summer too. even though i was at the opposite corner of the field diagonally across from RCB, i heard you guys loud and clear! especially the "who's your father referee?" chants :p

Yep it is the colonels corner.

As far as an away section goes, I really don't know where would be a great place, But for the DCU game a couple of Barra members sat with the RCB.

The supporter groups are both fairly friendly to visitors. We've had many visiting fans sit with us and enjoy the atmosphere and have a fun time together. We both tend to give the visiting teams a lot of harassment, but look upon supporters of the other squads as fellow fans of the beautiful game. As noted, visitors are more than welcome at either of the 2 west parking lot tailgate parties.

The Loyalists section in E32 (cheaper seats) seems to be easier for visitors to come join while the RCB section in 38 (or is it 37) is a more expensive section and people trying to move into that area tend to get stopped by the ticket Nazis (so you might want to buy a ticket in E38 if you want to sit with RCB).

(Of course if you have a large enough group that wants to do their own chants, might be easier to find other areas.)

As for a tailgate, RCB tends to have more adult-oriented beverages than the Loyalists. Other than Colorado fans who are in no way welcome with RCB :D , we've done fairly well with those who come visiting. Tickets for E38 are like $28.

glad you guys think the same way we do. we didn't want you to think we were "invading" your sections trying to start trouble (like the teenage hooligan-wanna-bes we encountered in new jersey last weekend).

will we be ok getting tickets day-of-game? and thanks for all the replies and info so far!

Yes, especially in E38, we tend to annoy a lot of the people around here who can't handle that's aren't rated PG. As for the tailgate, RCB is in the middle of the parking lot by the Trax station, we're the guys wearing black shirts.

I didn't think Colorado fans were welcome anywhere, including Colorado.

They are welcome in their mother's basement where they have their D&D meetings. Some of them even made dungeonmaster!!!!

Hey there,

I'm new, so I can't post a new thread yet. But this concerns Away Fans

For the past two seasons, I have attended a number of Real Salt Lake games here on the East Coast.

During those games, I have noticed many Real Salt Lake fans at the games. Unfortunately, they are oftentimes scattered around the stadium. Nor is there an organized Supporters section at those games. Thus nobody is there to cheer for and act as the "12th man" for Our Team when they come out here to play on the East Coast. I would like to remedy this problem.

I'm trying to organize a Real Salt Lake Supporter's Club for fans who reside on the East Coast. While you have the Loyalists and the Rogue Cavalier's Brigade in Utah, there is a great need for such an organization here.

One of the names I've come up with is the East Coast Elite. Although this is just a working title, I feel the name encompasses the group's potential as an elite, well organized group of supporters who are willing to show up in large numbers to support their team.

Our Main Goal is to have large numbers of RSL fans standing behind our players at every away game. With our unstoppable cheering and support we can bring the team to success.

One method by which we can bring this to fruition is to encourage fans in these areas to organize their own local chapters.

This way, when Real Salt Lake comes to play in their area, a sizable Supporter's Section will be present at the stadium.

I'll post more later. Feedback is appreciated and let me know who is interested.
