in my opinion C. RONALDO is the most exciting player to watch as of late.
but Becks is definately not the best now, nor has he ever been the best, nor shall he ever be the best.

ummmmmmmm I don't know if you know this but Beckham is definitely the best. Cristiano Ronaldo dives alot and he's not even going out with a spice girl!

I don't think he is the best in the world, but he is very good. He is probably the best player in MLS.

I agree. for the amount of money they spent on him, I'm sure they could have got not only one but maybe 3-4 different players from around the world. In Europe especially there are many better and younger players than Becks. He is a great player , there is no doubt about that. The only thing I have doubts about is his skills could be wasted here. This country needs goalscoring forwards and midfielders who will light up a match.
Player for example Roberto Donadoni don't really do well in the MLS. Even though he played in the league 10-11 years ago, his skills were not appreciated nor utilized as a holding creating winger/midfielder.

I would agree. In the MLS yup. But he could not even cut it in Spain. Madrid fans were all smiles when he got let go, sure his form was rejuvenated in the later half of last season la liga, but he was benched for a majority of it
What Beck's is best at, is being a PR and AD machine for Football (or soccer you pick). That is what the Galaxy are banking the 250 mil on, that he will bring fans and revenue to the club.
If you want to know who is the best, in my opinion, it's an Argentinean who plays for my beloved Barça, ahh Messi.
