ok lets say we got a team. what tv station would show it. i really doubt FSN will show the game becuse they already have the Cards and i dont see them giving them up to show a soccer game. so who do we think would show the games on tv. my bet would be the CW11. with them not having sunday baseball any more they have room for it. much less i dont really think it would confict witht the blues two much. who do you guys think would show the games

I doubt a network tv station would play them. FSN will prob. have the rights to them show maybe 3/4 of the games, remember most soccer games are on Saturday and the Cards play mostly day games on the weekends.

Yup, cardinals games will either be in the evening or afternoon, play the soccer game in the other timeslot... Comcast in Chicago has an even busier schedule than FSN-Midwest... and they still show a few Fire games. i don't think it will be a problem. Throw in the 3 national MLS games weekly (Thursday night ESPN2, Saturday Night Fox Soccer, Sunday afternoon Telefutura)

15 of the Cardinals' Saturday games this season are on FSN. The others (11)are covered by either Fox or KSDK.
Assuming MLS is up to 16 teams by the time we join the league, and assuming they decide to go to a single table format (I know, big assumption), you're looking at a 30 game season. Cardinals Saturday cames on FSN would conflict with half of them. But, MLS has three nationally televised games a week, so that's 37.5% of the league that is playing on national TV during any one week. Looking at that another way, it also means 37.5% of any team's games will be televised nationally (another assumption, that MLS would show all teams equally). Assuming they're nice/smart enough to schedule our national games on dates that would otherwise conflict with a Cardinals broadcast on FSN, then you're looking at probably 5 games nationally, leaving you with 10 games that conflict. When you're only dealing with a few games, it's easy to adjust start times. If first pitch is at 1:15, the game will be over by about 4:15. post-game show done by 5:00, still gives you plenty of time for an evening kickoff. If first pitch is at 2:55 or later, a noon kickoff works fine.

FSN might show some of the games. Maybe not live though. FSN has a whole lot of dead time this part of the year. So maybe it would work out. CW11 is another good option. Worst case scenario is UPN 46.
