Oh I don't know...how can the forum quality have dropped when we have a good dozen people shouting out possible names they think we should buy(which would of course all guarantee success)...and rubbishing each others suggestions.
A dozen people throwing out their formations (which would of course all guarantee success) and rubishing each others suggestions.
A dozen people rubishing the club's signings because they are not their own suggestions (which would of course all guarantee success)
A dozen people announcing team tactics (which would of course all guarantee success) even though they bear no relation to what Schuster has done in the past and will do in the future.
A dozen people declaring they are true madridistas and that everyone else is a glory hunting idiot.
A dozen people declaring that only they Know the facts and that everyone else knows nothing.
A dozen people declaring that only they know about football and that anyone who disagrees with them knows nothing.
I'm particularly pleased to see a minority of the new posters who have joined us , know so much more about the club than anyone one on this forum and see fit to talk down patronizingly to us without bothering to find out anything about us...how have we managed without them.
It is also particularly pleasing to see that the forum is now being used for its proper purpose of allowing people to continuously shout out there own opinions with no room for discussion whatsoever.
And then when I thought things couldn't get any better, I log on today and read that Saviola and Baptista should be our starting forwards for next season. Finally.
Oh yeah, these are good times on the forum.
Anyway, I'm off to catch up with the adventures of judge10 the crime-solving astronaut and his pet chimpanzee Beep
...but I'll be sure to rush back soon.

I believe he is going to solve the mystery of who put too much soda into George Best's wine and at the same time he saves Judge10 from the evil Dr Rijkaard.

Maca hit it on the head, however FC's picture captured the essence. :p

Usually I comment alot, but I didn't even know what to say. I mean.... so because Baptista had a decent (at best) Copa we throw out Ruud?

Someone PM'd me that picture a while back when I commented on all the garbage I was reading. It may have been 4X4's. That picture does sum it up nicely.
My personal favorites are:
- post the same link twelve times and add "discuss" to engage people in conversation
- post your favorite formation and ask "what do you guys think of my formation?" and when no one replies... post it again... and again... and again.
What do you guys think of my favorites?
ps. one thing I will admit is that this nonsense is generating some fantastic responses from the veteran posters; Oscar's "some attacking teams play without a goalie" comment was hilarious!! :D

Just logged on and noticed the title to this thread, now I think I can skip reading the football portion of this board today. Doesn't sound like there's been any improvement in recent days.
This board has done more than just take a nosedive in quality: it's drowning.
*sigh*

Even though I probably missed out on the biggest week of the summer for us, by the looks of your comments, I did also manage to skip a week's worth of rubbish posts. I'd say it's probably worth it.

The problem is that the quality of the forum will continue to diminish. I miss when there weren't so many user on this forum. There might have not so many posters but i always preferred quality over quantity.

To be fair, much of the recent crap has not been from new posters ...and though it's sometimes hard to remember who's who...you have to accept that new members will come and indeed that the forum/boards rely on them to survive and grow.
That does not however excuse the current state of the forum.

The summer is always like this on BS's RM board. Remember last year when we had those "All about Ronaldo" threads? The fanboys were all over here but it got better later.
What i find wierd is that while RM was playing awful in the first part of the season we had so few posters who kept posting here and now that we won the title ALOT of ppl came here posting stupid things.
Mostly i hate the formations & tactics thread which Alma mentioned.
Im just glad that alot of the old members are still here :p

I'm thankful about that too. I just wish sone of the other "old" regulars like Butragueno and Bernabeu will post a lot more in the English forums like they used to. That was a time the quality of the posts made it the best place to learn about RM (past & present) on the internet. I know thats how I learned so much about the club.

Same here, i knew alot of things about RM but some people here are really informed good, probably because they are spanish.
Its still a good forum but the huge number of posts makes it really boring.
