I think its a decent signing, but I think Arminia are in trouble. They rode a hot guy (Wichniarek) and I don't think he's reliable enough to carry a team out of the relegation zone.

Arthur Wichniarek has scored 66% of all Bielefeld goals (12 of 18) so far this season, which is an absolutely amazing record. He is also third in the top scorers list, playing for a relegation candidate!

If he continues like this, he could break Gerd Müller's all time record (percental) of the 1968/69 season. In that season, Müller scored 30 of 61 goals for Bayern, ~49%. No team has been so reliant on a single goal scorer ever since.
Very underrated player, don't even know how often Bielefeld would have been relegated without his goals.

What would Bielefeld be without Wichniarek?
Damn, I wish we had such a guy right now...

So, news has it that after Frontzeck's sacking (1 day before the end of the season!), the perennial 'Feuerwehrmann' Joerg Berger has been brought back from the dead and will try to help the side avoid relegation on the last day.

Interesting...
Those idiots from Blödefeld deserve to get relegated after the treatment of Michael Frontzeck! They lose unlucky against Bayern, reach 2 away draws against Gladbach & Leverkusen, draw Stuttgart, lose very unfortunate against Hoffenheim and play a great first half in Dortmund ... but well, it's the manager's fault that they couldn't convert their top chances against Hoffenheim & Dortmund.
However, I'm happy that Michael Frontzeck isn't at this club (with silly fans and a crazy board) any longer and can finally enjoy the life in his nice house in Mönchengladbach, hence (keeping the fingers crossed for the club of his heart now:-)!

I don't think he's a very good coach, but yeah, it's silly to fire somebody one match before the season ends.

They were never good enough at home. The road record and home records are basically the same, too many draws that should have been full points. Four wins in 33 matches....there had to be changes although the timing is questionable. Having said that Frontzeck was there for a 0-6 result so could it be any worse without him?

LOL, Arminias Management must be out of their mind to fire a coach with one game left to play...
Nothing against Jörg Berger tough!
He might just be the right man if they make it to Relegation!
Good to see that he seems to be in good condition again if he is taking a job like this!
(He has had severall cancer treatments and didnt look very good the last time I saw him on TV a while ago...)

Didn't take long for Frontzeck to find a new job. About three weeks after the sack he show's up as BMG's new head man. Football's a crazy world...He's still in the BL and his old club gets the drop.

Yup, and it's the second time he's pulled that one off.
His last two clubs both got relegated under him, I hope for BMG the same doesn't happen again.
