I'm suprised we haven't seen more of this recently from the youth system players. How much money did the club spend on the facilities, and how many players have been given an opportunity to shine?? Surely, there are some players that can play better than half of last years new signings.

Ditto.

I agree with Thommo that should he play well in pre-season, he has nothing to worry about. We've got enough trouble on the wings and, if I'm not mistaken, he's played on both sides at one time or another, no? A spot in the rotation for him is not too far-fetched.

I think Desigol is putting a bit too strong a spin on this report. Its not play me or I'll leave as much as I need to get in to some games or I'll not get another contract and have to go. I think he needs to be given a shot on the wing, but truly if they thought he was even partially the answer they'd have played him there before.

That's what I thought when I read the article. Richie Partridge has been around Liverpool long enough now for this to be a make or break year. If he doesn't break into the team on form then it might be time for him to move on.
