Did you see the first of Kun's two goals in the match the other day - it was pure magic. The 2nd was also classy. He really does stand out above the rest of his team mates.

Have you seen my boy Jozy Altidore he's a beast but then again I see him a lot at the NY games? So what do you think Euro material or just shite...Too bad our guys lost to Austria but they beat: Poland,Brazil & Uruguay.

I've only ever seen Altidore play in a NY match on ESPN about a month back. He has a good build and can certainly cope with the MLS level, which is good at his age. He scored a clever goal goal in the match I watched.
I really haven't watched that many US games though, because they don't seem to play with joy. They seem like they have been drilled in set practices and know little else. Teams like Argentina meanwhile play the game how I like to watch it. I'm not saying that either style of coaching is wrong or right, but it would be nice for the US to have more of a mix of the two concepts.
I did see the highlights of the US - Austria match. Sure, the weather made the surface and ball slick, but that US keeper was shocking.

The US keeper was shocking and I do agree coaching here sucks all they do is try to make you stronger and faster and it sucks why can't we work on the technical part which will win you games more...IF you can move the ball fast and easily you won't get as tired and all that running won't be required...Quite shocking also that Argentina lost the Copa American good thing I didn't put any money on it...

Has anybody watched Maximiliano Moralez of the Argentinian u/20 World Cup team. He is only 5'2, and if you look at pictures of him, you'll see just how short he really is:eek:
I liked watching the u20 WC qualifiers for Argentina more than the WC. Kun is great, but he's too much of a ball hog at this level. For the qualifiers, Maxi Moralez really stood out because Kun was in Spain. I had no idea how short he was.
I'm so excited for the semi between Chile-Argentina. The Chilean u20 is much better than their senior squad. Arturo Vidal, Alexi Sanchez and Matias Vidangossy are so much fun to watch. Chelsea wanted to sign Sanchez when he was 15...thank god he signed with Udinese!

The US really impressed
Adu
Rogers
Altidore
All looked really good.
If you watched the rest of the tourney Seitz the US goalie was actually really good. At times he was one of thier best players. But against Austria he totally looked out of it.

I'd add Sal Zizzo to that list for the first 3 games (he was a big disappointment vs Uruguay and Austria). I think they were a better team than Austria, they just didn't play well that day. I was pretty impressed with how they moved the ball out of the back along the ground and through midfield instead of playing the long ball constantly. It was good to see them running at defenders too. There is a lot of skill on that team. It's very cool that in the last 2 U20 WCs the US has beaten Argentina, Brasil, and Uruguay. We're no longer the whipping boys of the Americas.

See Phil this team is worth supporting under Rogan as the manager because they really went for it the Senior squad under Bradley gulp! These guys are our Golden boys Landy can step aside.

Rongen is not the best coach, Bradley is better. He did a very good job of picking the team and finding a formation that made them dangerous but his in the game tactics were not so good. He had some subs that could have changed the game (especially during the Austria game) but did not sub them in or waited to long.
Plus Sztela have two good games against SKorea and Poland but faded while the tourney went on. He was dreadful against Austria. I think he a good player and should leave the Crew for Scotland or Italy where he has interest from
The only player that will be better then Landon will be Adu

Yup there are database errors at the moment due to server usage. When BigSoccer moves over to the new servers, and the new site, everything will be OK. I've even had the errors.

Within the next couple of weeks I believe. We mods will get it tomorrow to test for bugs and so on, and if that's successful it will be within the next few weeks you guys get upgraded. There's more about it in the Customer Service forum.
EDIT: I will find out now.
EDIT:
Dear BigSoccer Members:
This message is a heads up that later this month, to celebrate Beckham's first games and the MLS All-Star Game, BigSoccer will debut an all new version of the site. The new BigSoccer (code name ideas welcome!) will be the most significant upgrade to BigSoccer in years.
A group of a dozen SuperMods and Mods have been testing the Alpha version of the site for the past several days. Feedback has been positive. The site will be moving to Beta in the middle of this week.
The forums will continue to work as they do now, with no reorganization and no new policies. But the site and the forums will have a new look and feel that is cleaner and easier to use.
Kicks will no longer be a standalone feature but will be integrated into creating a new thread: if you put a URL in, the system will automatically insert the link to the original source, just like Kicks now do. Additionally, all threads can be kicked, allowing users to sort threads by popularity, in addition to date, replies, etc. The Kicks formula, as you know, is a combination of kicks + buries + replies + some other criteria.
A new dynamic navigation will be revealed allowing you to quickly browse up and down through four levels of our content hierarchy.
The big change will occur on our homepage, making it useful and relevant to your daily use of BigSoccer. As you use the navigation tool, the homepage content will dynamically update based on where you are in the navigation (so you can have a Bayern homepage, or an MLS homepage).
All your favorite features will continue to exist. As change is sometimes overwhelming for some, we felt it was important to give you a heads up and not spring it on you. We will be giving more and more invited testers access to the beta site in the coming days, and we have urged them to share their positive feedback with you in this thread.
