First of all, good luck today, I look forward to this game.

Secondly. I read this article on cnnsi.com and the writer implies Basile is a follower of the Menotti school and he uses Basile's time under Menotti as a coach when the former was a player.

How much truth is there to this?

And if this is true, then where do Bielsa and Pekerman fit?

Basile played for Menotti at Huracan. He is also considered to suscribe to Menotti's philosophy of football, so to speak. Pekerman also leans towards Menotti's camp, although maybe to a lesser extent than Basile.

Bielsa is quite the opposite. I think he was more in Bilardo's camp, in terms of philosophy.

This is symplistic, but in a nutshell:

Menotti = The strength of Argentine football is improvisation. Attack, play attractive football, give the players freedom, put creativity above tactics.

Bilardo = Leave nothing to chance, be practical. To be competitive, trust tactical organization and fitness first, then our creativity is a bonus.

To put it in Brazilian perspective, I think Dunga would definitely be considered to be of Bilardo's school. A good example of Menotti's school of thought would be Tele Santana.

Hey, good luck today. May the best team win. (I mean Argentina of course.)

Yeah I see why you compare Menotti to Tele.

Good game today, though I thought you guys had more to offer (no disrespect intended).
