Competition: Pre-season friendly
Date: Thursday, July 19th 2007
KO time: 1100 PST, 1300 CST, 1400 EST, 1900 GMT (I think that's right!)
Venue: Bad Waltersdorf, Austria
TV: ATVO

I've had a good start so far with the match threads so here's the next one :). Arsenal take on Turkish outfit Genclerbirligi on their usual pre-season tour of Austria looking to make it two wins out of two this (pre) season.

Denilson is doubtful for this tie after the injury he suffered against Barnet, but apart from that we have a full squad to choose from. Therefore, the missing faces from the Barnet match (which include but are not limited to Lehmann, Senderos, Djourou, Eboue, Hleb, Rosicky and Fabregas) may well get a run out. A debut for Eduardo da Silva is also possible.

Again, sticking with the "no predictions" rule for myself, so all that's left to say is...

COME ON YOU GUNNERS!!

I'm hoping to get a look at da Silva and Bendtner. Any word if da Silva is going to make his debut?

Super .. Would be glad if any postmatch assesments are given .. Its likely we'd be playing lots of youngsters in this also right ?! And maybe Dudu & Sagna could get a run too ..

I'll be flying out on Wednesday with "Antifan". :D
The bad news is that FL8 didn't fly out with the team today, so I guess that's another piece in the jig-saw that he won't be here for this coming season. :(
"Don't cry tooooooooo much Steph" ! ;)

I hope he does! He has already been quoted as saying that he won't sign for another Premiership club, after turning down SGE at Man. City. Otherwise I guess it's "Europe or Bust"!
I suppose, though, there's always the MLS !!

Will probably end up at Portsmouth... who in about 5 years time will have basically recreated our "unbeatables" minus the winning streak ;) .

Fiorentina said that they really want him. They play a flowing style
of Il Calcio. What could be so bad about Florence? If he were to
leave Arsenal, I still see a Freddie Testamonial in the future at The Grove;
it would be La Liga or Serie A, he would get the most money.
I don't think he can hang with the pace of La Liga and Serie A, might be too
physical on his body. So MLS sounds great, lol.

Testimonials are usually only for people who have been at the club 10 years or longer. Is Freddie at 9 or 10 right now? He's always been my favorite player so it would suck to see him go but we'll survive at this point obviously.
