As i/we uk fans are going to be getting to know your game over the next few months i wondered if anyone was interested in understanding/seeing what soccer in the uk was like.
I attend all Watford/England matches and take quite a few photos and am quite happy to put reports to the photos.
It goes without saying i'm sure that many of you might like regular updates on Jay plus photos but you might also be interested in seeing what going to a match in the uk looks like. I'll tell you now we don't take blow up dolls.
Our matches have it all. Over a season your'll see and experience things you thought were not possible or indeed hoped might never happen.
As attachments are not allowed contact me on m email address and i'll add you to my mailing list. You can ask me anything.

You're best off posting this in the "Yanks Abroad" forum. You'll get a much better response there.

Come here to enlighten the savages eh?
Don't worry, if you post regularly I'm sure you're be able to shake the 'ignorant Brit' tag you've already managed to acquire. It may take a year or so though....

Hey,no need to get upset. We're all curious about lives of regular UK football fans!:)
Tell us more about yourself!Do you have a wife/girlfriend?Does she go to matches with you?How do you spend your weekdays? What do you look like?Your hobbies?Ooops, that's too many questions!:) If you can tell me these and maybe more that'll be great!
Thanks!:)

Dave my 10 year old son and I are season ticket holders at Watford hence the thread about Jay.
I have to confess though that he also follows Man Utd as his second team whereas mine is Chelsea who I have followed since i was a lad of his age.
In the uk its not so common for women to go to the matches as its still pretty much male orientated although things are changing.
What you experience at a uk match can be determined by where you sit.
If you sit with the hard core followers you will experience passion, some bad language and on some occasions violence although this is becoming less common.
Two pieces about me. 1. I recently ran the London Marathon & 2. I was once one round away from qualifying for Wimbledon!
What we do in the uk in the summer is pretty much dictated by the weather which this year has been wet,wet,wet.............
I work for British Airways at Heathrow as an accounts manager.
I like these websites as it gives you a chance to open up new dialogue with people that you would never have met.
There you go! email or pictures alanraymondpalmer@btinternet.com
Best wishes Alan.

Alan, I appreciate that you're trying to be nice but I really should let you in on a few things before people start treating you as a troll.
BigSoccer is the biggest football site on the net. Sure it's based in the US and many of the members are American but that does not mean they're ignorant of English/European football. Most follow an English club as well as one in MLS and quite a lot of them make trips over here to see matches. The Premiership has massive world wide exposure so they can get a feel for English football quite easily. More importantly there's a large British membership here so they do regularly interact with English/Scottish/Welsh football fans. I've also found that for the most part the average American fan here is as knowledgeable as the average British fan you find on other sites but tends to be more cosmopolitan. The great thing about BigSoccer is the mix of nationalities and therefore this a the place where you come to be educated about different footballing cultures rather than educate.
Read the forums, get a feel for the place and then contribute. We have a good community here (admittedly not entirely united) and we could do with more Watford fans :p

jay demerit's a donkey.
i was there when ipswich lost 2-0 against watford:( and he was the only weak link in a very good and solid, if extremely dull to watch, watford team.
i think watford will go up because they are the ideal team for the championship and wont lose many at home.
how do you watch that long ball game bollocks every week though??
