What is the Carling Cup? Is it related in any way to the Worthington or FA Cups?

Yeah... it is the Worthington Cup ;)
It's the same cup (the "League Cup"), just with a different sponsor this year. There's another thread called "No More Worthnothing Cup (http://www.bigsoccer.com/forum/showthread.php?threadid=56743)" (even though I always heard "Worthless") on this forum that has more info.
Anyway, the first tie that struck my eye was Crewe vs. Wrexham... this will definitely not be a "Careless" Cup meeting.

As a Hartlepool fan I'm looking forward to tussle against Chris Turner. It should be fun, I only hope the fans at The Vic give him the welcome thats deserved.

The premiership teams enter in round two, with the exception of those that have qualified for Europe who enter in round three.

Yeah, I saw that, and the Wednesday draw. Bristol City - Swansea also looked good.
Looking at the list, I'm guessing that the first round is regionally seeded. Is it just North and South, or is there something else going on?
