Please bare with me as its currently 2:45am NY time, and I've just come in from a night out. A bit knackered but not too bad. Anyways, somehow or another I stumbled across a scene from Goal 2 on YouTube. Now I've heard that they used our 1-nil CL match versus Real Madrid as the movie's a climax. What I wasn't expecting was to see Nick Cannon () wearing an Arsenal shirt.
Perhaps some of you lads in England can confirm this as this movie has yet to be released in the US. Either way, Nick Cannon in an Arsenal shirt has been most disturbing.
I may not even sleep tonight.
Cheers,

yea...the ending is pretty gay...arsenal loses 4-3 and one of the real madrid goals is really gay...arsenal gets a penalty and somehow it hits the goal post and real madrid player gets it...and they score on counter

Meh, Nick Cannon... I can't think of anyone better to play Arsenal's former star fullback.

Kind of nice to see Arsenal get cast as one of Europe's top threats. I'm kinda surprised Adidas let any Nike branded team in their movie.

Would be the only way they would win that game... shame really, would have preferred another Henry-esk run, brushing off their big name players before slotting the ball in the net for a 1-0 victory!

Yeah, I watched the movie a couple of months back, and for me, compared to the GOAL 1, it really is not as great. The original movie was inspirational - this one was too much about the flashy lifestyle off the field.
Also, as you'll see in the opening footage of that youtube scene, you will see that old guy...who was an ageing player wallowing in the reserves of Newcastle in the original movie....yet now he is playing Madrid in the CL Final! Where they THAT short of actors?

That makes me shudder as I didn't have much use for the first one. The second one features Arsenal getting beat in the CL Final and the third shows the hero leading Mexico to World Cup glory.
Those are two films I'll have little trouble missing.

Gawd...another reason to hate footy-related films. Having Newcastle United be the featured club in anything is bad enough, but mucking about with history in this one...come on now. That Henry goal is still a bitter memory of sorts, too.

Well, the Nike team does lose. ;)

Maybe Steve McManaman was on holiday.

Werd. Yeesh, after watching that, I've been inspired to go buy a Beckham-numbered Real...oops, Galaxy shirt. Pardon me as I fawn like a 10-year-old girl and do my Charlie Brown dance.
I had heard at one point that the main character was going to end up playing for Argentina through some strange twist of jus sanguenis, but that was a long time ago. It sounds like they're at least keeping it realistic here, but judging by the above clip, reality is obviously not a hurdle for these clods. as absurd as it sounds, sit like this makes me glad the beautiful game isn't huge in the States. Watching that clip just made me forget math.

Just another opportunity for them to give the V to Barcelona.

That is about the g*yest thing i have ever seen. They still must be really butt hurt about us clowning them out of the CL. I hope that Henry continue to clown them now that he plays for Barca.

this movie really sucked... Goal was great... inspirational... great story... and the 2nd one just destroys all of that...

that looks like the biggest pile of shit ever. The way they score the first goal is almost comical. And from the actual footage you can see Beckham with his long hair but then at the end when he scores he has short hair.

Well just to let you know that even the best movies have faults...maybe most people already know this, seeing as it was quite an obvious mistake...BUT, in Fever Pitch, when Colin Firth is speaking to the boy's mother in the teacher-parent evening, she says that the boys father used to take him to the Arsenal before they were divorced. Then, a few minutes later, when Colin is giving her advice on how to buy tickets for the match, that mention that the boy's father is a Spurs fan...

 If only Henry had put away his much easier chance in the real CL final.......
