Sky coverage in the uk just saw the mayor being loudly jeered.

Villaragosa has been at a lot of Chivas USA (our ground-share & intra-city rivals) events wearing their colors and shirts.
We thought we'd remind him of that.

He's the mayor. He's expected to make appearances at both teams' events, or neither teams' events.
Or is it specifically that he didn't have on a Galaxy jersey? That I can understand, since he's worn the gear of your rivals.
As I understand it there's also a scandal going on currently with extra-martial affirs or something like that. But mainly I think it's simply that Galaxy supporters percieve him as a Chivas man.

The may of LA had an extra-marital affair with a news presenter at Univision. They are one of the largest Spanish language broadcasters in the states.
