And i mean TV-wise...Listening on the radio -a futbol show here in Lima- they mentioned that Univision "en NorteAmerica" -actual quote- had registered 2.9 million in viewers...I guess people, not households...and that this number had surpassed the Live Earth shows on US stations for the same time frame.... not bad, huh? A shame our team could not create chances to put up a better fight....

BY "NOrteamerica" i imagine they meant the US only...i really do not think they use the combined US-Canada ratings...or i donīt think thatīs how they do things anyway... I just thought this was interesting...

Maybe CONMEBOL ought to ask for far more TV money for future Copa Americas ....and in return SA national teams get more cash in the process for future events.... BUt thatīs too good an idea to be implemented i suppose :)

In Canada, soccer is still pretty fragile in terms of $$$ investment (especially after Canada's terrible performance in the U-20s). I'm sure if they were to raise the prices for TV rights here in canada, the networks wouldn't pony up the cash.
