If you needed me to tell you to take streaking Champion HOU against the most directionless team in MLS, well, that's not a good sign. Even the abysmal Rapids have a direction and leadership. The Fire need everything and right now. Rolff still out hurt, the defense still lacking.

Slim pickings this weeks as the only no-brainer worth a price was the above HOU demolition. Every other game is either a very bad price or there is a good argument to be made for any of teh 3 possible results. Too much risk and because teams are streaking and at home, the prices are prohibitive.

@DC United vs. Dallas 2.20 l 3.25 l 3.30
DC at home seems proper, they're unbeaten through 6 at home. I'd love to see FCD pull the upset. I'd happily pay 1 unit just to read the DC boards whine all week. DAL certainly has the capability of winning as I believe they own the best road record. Draw has merit here.
DC@2.2

@New York vs. New England 2.20 l 3.25 l 3.25
NY at home coming off of a road win. NE 1 win in 6 and allowing goals. JP Angel isn't going to get shut out for the rest of the season.
NY@2.2

@Kansas City vs. Salt Lake 1.67 l 3.50 l 5.50
KC has Eddie johnson back. RSL is winless in their last 2 road games, that's why the price sucks. The only worry here is RSL beat KC in Utah in the USOC 2-1. The linescore will tell you KC had shots and couldn't convert - a common KC problem that started right there in Utah. It was a reduced KC squad and was with Klein on RSL's roster. Take the free .67 units, make money on the Over. KC should score the over by themselves as RSL has little and the dimuative Rimando in net. Blowout potential is high, but who knows, KC hasn't won in 6 ridiculous games and that's why they play them.
KC@1.67

@Chivas vs. Columbus 2.10 l 3.30 l 3.75
Chivas at home is the vertual "nuts". Three straight wins and unbeaten in 6 at HDC. CLMB hasn't lost in 6 games, but two of the three road games in the stretch were ties against struggling teams. I like Preki's men. Galindo and Razov are both due. Draw has merit here as CLB is truly playing well and does have some capability to exploit CHV's weaker wing play. I'm not going to bet against a home streak for a good team with overdue strikers and a great GK that is catching horrible road breaks like CHV. You may not realize it but CHV is the second best defense in MLS. Regardless, this game should tell you who has a shot at getting to the Conference Final and who doesn't. A true litmus test for Scheletto, Moreno, and Co. streaking CLB. If you only have time for one direct kick game, this one will be played at a playoff level.
CHV@2.1

@Houston vs. Toronto 1.57 l 3.60 l 6.00
Please.

The price is horrible, but what are you gonna do, take the dog into a 9 game unbeaten run where Ching didn't even play midweek? TOR on their 5th straight roadie of 6 (U-20 WC), HOU unbeaten in forever. Onstad is on form, the defense always does just enough, and HOU never relinquishes a lead anywhere. Championship stuff. If worried about a TOR team playing much better, side with the HOU "asian" and take the draw too; or look for a better spot as .57 units may not be worth bucking the risk. If you are struggling with the math, the payout on HOU is roughly the same as half of what you recieve for winning one hand of blackjack. Not much reward there.

Postmortem SAT:

Wish I would have listened to myself on DAL. Toja with two goals to tie things at 3. DAL was down 3-0 in this game...at dc. Wow. I'm not sure dc has ever blown a 3 goal lead at home. Checking the history, it also isn't the first time DAL as come back with a late goal to win or tie at dc either. Happy to take the L here. DAL has the best road record in MLS.

Not a huge shock in NY. Mildly suprised that NY didn't score at all, but NE is playing well and also has a quality road record. Tough division. JP Angel shut down again.

KC can't play this game currently. EJ scores off his own miss that found him directly off the post. Good finish, but lucky. Inexcusable that KC would only score a slighty fortunate lone goad against that crew. Momentary class followed by crass ineptitude. RSL had nothing but a very short bench and never looked like scoring. I'm worried.

Chivas was better in all phases against CLB. The winner was an OG by Eddie Gaven. It was nothing more than CHV deserved. CHV is undefeated at home, 6-0-1 I think.

Hope you did well.

cheers, glad to see this forum is still up and kicking with a few punters even through all the US bans. might I ask which site you're using these days, and your method of deposit/withdrawal?

I've read the posts from way back down about some people using bodog and NUsomething for deposits. That was a few months old though, just checking to see what everyone's using nowadays? I took a break away after all the legislation went down, but looking to see how everyone is faring still? I need to figure something out for safe punting! haha
