HD..Thanks for the highlights. I really appreciate it. Looked like the Zebras played pretty well. How are the new goalkeepers working out so far?

i cannot really tell yet. so far, each of them had about equal time on the field and none had a whole lot to do.
but it is said that Starke and Herzog are both equally good concerning reflexes yet Starke is better at charging and dominating the airspace. Herzog has really good footwork but i think Starke will be favored by coach Bommer.
Another important decision yet to come is who is gonna be team captain. it will probably be either Tararache or Grlic, whoever Bommer thinks will probably get more playtime.

I am SO glad. Finally the period of waiting is over and I can watch the Zebras again. Tomorrow, Sunday 2.30pm CEST is kick-off for the DFB-Cup game SV Babelsberg 03 vs MSV Duisburg.
Babelsberg is near Berlin so i have to get up at 3.30am tomorrow in order to make it to the game ;)
Ailton probably wont play, he had some issues with his groin the last 2 or 3 days and could not practice properly.
Babelsberg plays 3rd division, they got promoted this summer. It will be a tough match, yet i am positive we will win.

Our amateur team played them last week in their Regionalliga opener. Drew 1-1. I think you guys should win too......

Here is a report on the 4-0 win: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fU6pno6BRag (MSV in yellow away jerseys)
First half was crap, but the goals in the second half really were eye candy ;)

I've got some bad news for you guys. No, we already know that it's bad news you guys have to open the season at the Westfalenstadion! ;) (I refuse to call it "Signal Iduna Park")
This is bad news. Not joking anymore.
Kicker reports today that the guy I feel makes MSV Duisburg's offense go, Youssef Mokthari, is out for four weeks after a groin operation.
Rudi Bommer said, "This hits us hard, but we will compensate for it."

well, i think moki would not play even if he was in shape ;)
Bommer will let them play 4-5-1 at away games:
---------------Starke-----------------
Lamey - Schlicke - Filipescu - Caceres
-------- Grlic (C) ---- Tararache -------
Tiffert-------Georgiev----------Idrissou
-------------Lavric/Ishiaku/Ailton--------
There is no place for Moki except someone gets injured.
I think Ishiaku will start in Dortmund since he is faster than Lavric and Ailton is not in shape yet.
Georgiev is as good with the ball as moki but he has far better passing and better long distance shooting abilities (as you can see in the report on the babelsberg game).

Nice highlights from the second half. It did look like MSV played like crap the second half. Ishiaku's goals looked nice though.

I'll take your word for it, but just remember one thing on Sunday.

he demonstrated his skill against PSV Eindhoven already ;)
oh and concerning moki:
he had to undergo surgery on one of his his spinal disks that has been causing his groin pains the day before yesterday. he will be out for about 2 months probably....

In a match that counted for nothing. The matches count starting tomorrow night. It's a different ballgame then.
That's why I'm not here bragging about our new midfielders "Kuba" and Petric or our 4-0 win over CL Semi-Finalists AS Roma.
It means nothing.

Yeah, I'd heard that already. All the best to him. I really think he's a good player.

Finally, Back to watrching Bundesliga and all four games I watched this weekend were great. When the program showed the scores from matchday 1, I was only hoping MSV tied or at least was not blown out. 3-1!!!!!! And in a spot for the Champions League!!! Haha, that will not last for long. Let's hope the Zebras keep it up and stay in the Bundesliga!
