Well, what do you guys think?

I looked for Bouchard on the club website and didn't see his name in any of the age groups, though if you search for him on google, his page (http://www.olweb.fr/index.php?lng=fr&j=1608&pid=201002) does pop up under "pro." Weirder still, he's listed as an OL player in the English wiki but not in the French wiki. According to Corey, Bouchard was the U-18 GK, but if so, he wasn't selected the last time because his name isn't on the FFF's website.
The only time I can remember Bouchard is this past January, when both Coupet and Hartock were out injured, so Bouchard had to back up Vercoutre during the match against Bayonne.
So how is Bouchard as a goalie? There isn't much info about him out there.
PS. Guess who I voted for.

I think I know how Inara will respond to this (Rémy), though at the moment, I can't say he's in the same class as Coupet.
Sign one of the guys at Montpellier (Scribe or Jourdren preferably). I actually like Montpellier, but I don't want one of those guys stuck on the bench there.
Of course, obvious other choices are Lloris, Yohann Pelé, and Costil, not to mention ex-Bleuets such as Itandje.

Not right now, though I hope he will be. :)

I like Lloris a lot, but for some reason, I don't think Lyon will be able to get him. When he was linked to the club earlier, he didn't seem that enthusiastic (maybe he is St. Etienne at heart  ). Pele is being followed by Wenger and is seen as a long term replacement to Lehmann, so Lyon might be pushed aside there. As for Costil...well, he's too erratic for me to prefer him over Riou right now, though if he could play steadily in L1, that might change.
I think just to torture PSG fans even further, maybe Lyon could be linked with Landreau.

All I know is that Bouchard is one of the better ones that came up through the youth ranks.

Riou will sign with Auxerre for four years.

He could've just agreed to an extension, spend one more year at Lorient, return to Lyon as new second choice goalkeeper, receive the blessings of Bats, replace Coupet after the WC and all should've been well. The lesson: no patience, no reward.

But can you blame him? At Auxerre, he may be the starter this year, and if not this year, certainly by the year after. I had to admit, I didn't expect to see him this impatient to leave his hometown, though perhaps he's tired of being a backup (he's also been the backup on Les Bleuets behind Lloris). It's a pity that he won't be learning alongside Bats, though.

Maybe he was tired of being a backup, but this is not just any backup. He would've been second choice to the French #1 at Lyon, which is something that any young goalkeepers in France should take pride in. Too bad he couldn't wait.

That "new signing" might be Charles Itandje.

i can't see him starting at AJA next year, though he would have at lorient, and he doesn't realize the luck he had to talk to jo every day at 19... a horrible move for HIM, except probably financially, which also must be considered. il faut manger!

Why wouldn't he start at Auxerre at some point this season? Granted, Olivier Sorin is starting at the moment, but it's not as if he'll be confused any day with a keeper of international class like Coupet.
If Itandje will be #2 to Coupet, he would be the best backup goalkeeper in the world. Well, that I can think of, anyway.
