not a bad turnout.

presumably enough to turn a small profit for AEG, which is what it's all about.

In terms of $$ I imagine this is a good thing however doesn't it go against the idea of having a "Soccer Specific" stadium. Ok, I know the Dave Matthews Band isn't some A-League team or anything but...

Does that mean we are going to see football lines on a SSS between July 22 and August 21?

Oh, please.....NO!!!

I hope not. However, MLS's financial viability is more imporatant at this point in time.

I seriously doubt it. That would limit them to working on the stadium field. I have visite dthe Ravens training camp at a nearby college and they generally work on two or three fields side-by-side.

So I bet the Chargers are going to be on some of the practice fields. They might hold a scrimmage in the stadium, but I'm not sure. The HDC site and Chargers site don't have details.

The draw would probably determine that.

There is an outside chance Olympic qualifying games will be played there. We open with a home and home against either St. Kitts & Nevis or Dominica.

The only rub is that those games are to be played Nov. 15/16 and Nov. 19, which all are a week or less than before MLS Cup. The wear and tear on the field might not be worth the small attendance that could bring.

But training-wise, it might be nice for players if we have the midweek leg.

The final qualfying for men and women is in Mexico. But there is a men's group stage before that for men that could take place in the U.S.
