this show is new to me because I don't pay for HBO:

I would recommend "If you're into it" as a good intro if you don't have time for the full episode.

Their "one night stand" special for HBO was infinitely better, IMO. The show is still finding itself, but frankly the Americanization of their songs is a travesty. (Example: Life is like a roll of [cello] tape...)

My favorite musical number of the new series is "Inner City Pressure" in the pilot episode. On the up side, I think Murray is becoming a more fleshed out character instead of being an awkward tack-on to deliver lines that Jermaine/Bret would have said on stage.

never saw the special or any of their stage work. I'll have to check youtube. Murray is hillarious. I thought the Rhymnoserous song was pretty good.

I have the HBO special DVD if anyone is interested in picking it up (North Plano). I'm not hip to that online video stuff. :(

Trust me - vastly superior to the HBO series.

I have been watching this. I wasnt really impressed with the first episode but the second one was greatness. Then I watched the first episode again and thought it was mutch better. I read that it was going to be a 13 part series but I didnt see anything about it being a one off series or if there was a possibility for a second season.

I have never heard of this show before, but I just watched the free show online and it is pretty damn funny. Thanks for the link.

When I really want to see what's on FSC or ESPNU or GOLTV I have to go to the in-laws house to see or DVR it (I won't pay for those or premiums) and just happened by HBOHD and caught the one from two weeks ago. At first I thought is was a Ricky Gervais knock off but quickly saw the greatness in it. I hope HBO keeps putting up the weekly show.
