This Sunday is the 53rd anniversary of the US 1-0 win over England in the 1950 World Cup. It ought to be a national holiday.
FYI, "The Game of Their Lives" is the title of a book that came out a few years ago that tells the story of the game and the players -- no subs. One of the defenders was Harry Keogh, father of Ty.
The book is out of print right now, but I suspect it will be out again when the movie is released. If you see it, pick it up. A short, quick read -- about 150 pages.
