Actually, when I started participating in EMS tournaments it was like that (1.5 points for correct score). It's just that it makes it harder to count, so I just rounded it to 2, so you wouldn't be mad (3 is obviously a bigger difference).

I don't think there will be a tie for the top spot. The top scorer thing is interesting, but I think I will just follow Chaski's top poingetter rule. If there still is a tie there, then we can do the "guess the last 4 digits of my SSN" thing (it's a joke.. don't get a heart attack :D). But seriously, if they are still tied after that, then we can have something else, not sure what at the moment. Maybe the prediction of the final of the U-20 WC? If anything, we can have dual champions of the tournament, like we did last season in the Argentine EMS.

Nope: Brazil tied. They ended up qualifying by winning in penalties, but El Mas Sabio only counts the final score at the end of the 90 minutes. Else there would be no point to people posting a tie as their prediction.
