I think 3 World Leagues should be amazing. Not for every year, because it is lame for smaller clubs, but once in 4 years have the big clubs play in one of the 3 continental leagues: One American, one Eurafrican and one Asian. This is how it could look like (it's just an example, not how it should be):

[[Real Madrid]] 466 Spain
[[FC Barcelona]] 352 Spain
[[Juventus FC]] 341 Italy
[[Manchester United FC]] 340 England
[[AC Milan]] 337 Italy
[[Chelsea FC]] 304 England
[[FC Internazionale Milano]] 286 Italy
[[FC Bayern Munich]] 278 Germany
[[Arsenal FC]] 268 England
[[Liverpool FC]] 242 England
[[Newcastle United FC]] 174 England
[[Olympique Lyonnais]] 173 France
[[AS Roma]] 172 Italy
[[FC Schalke 04]] 157 Germany
[[Tottenham Hotspur FC]] 150 England
[[Hamburger SV]] 141 Germany
[[Sevilla FC]] 132 Spain
[[Valencia CF]] 132 Spain
[[Manchester City FC]] 125 England
[[Rangers FC]] 124 Scotland

[[São Paulo FC]] 65 Brazil
[[SC Internacional]] 57 Brazil
[[Club Deportivo Guadalajara]] 45 Mexico
[[Club America]] 45 Mexico
[[CR Flamengo]] 38 Brazil
[[CF Pachuca]] 37 Mexico
[[CA River Plate]] 33 Argentina
[[SC Corinthians Paulista]] 33 Brazil
[[CA Boca Juniors]] 33 Argentina
[[SE Palmeiras]] 33 Brazil
[[Cruzeiro EC]] 29 Brazil
[[Fluminense FC]] 27 Brazil
[[CF Atlas]] 27 Mexico
[[Club Deportivo Cruz Azul]] 27 Mexico
[[Santos FC]] 27 Brazil
[[Los Angeles Galaxy]] 25 United States
[[CF Monterrey]] 25 Mexico
[[Grêmio Foot-Ball Porto Alegrense]] 24 Brazil
[[CR Vasco da Gama]] 18 Brazil
[[Clube Atlético Mineiro]] 18 Brazil

[[Urawa Reds]] 49 Japan
[[Yokohama F. Marinos]] 39 Japan
[[Júbilo Iwata]] 31 Japan
[[Kashiwa Reysol]] 31 Japan
[[Nagoya Grampus Eight]] 30 Japan
[[Gamba Osaka]] 27 Japan
[[FC Tokyo]] 25 Japan
[[Kashima Antlers]] 25 Japan
[[Tokyo Verdy 1969]] 25 Japan
[[Shimizu S-Pulse]] 25 Japan
[[JEF United Ichihara Chiba]] 22 Japan
[[Albirex Niigata]] 21 Japan
[[Al-Ittihad Jeddah]] 20 Saudi Arabia
[[Al-Hilal]] 20 Saudi Arabia
[[Sanfrecce Hiroshima]] 18 Japan
[[Cerezo Osaka]] 18 Japan
[[Omiya Ardija]] 18 Japan
[[Vegalta Sendai]] 16 Japan
[[Kyoto Sanga FC]] 16 Japan
[[Vissel Kobe]] 15 Japan

For example:

2007: Regular leagues
2008: Regular leagues
2009: Regular leagues
2010: World Leagues, smaller clubs playing in regular leagues
2011: Regular leagues
2012: Regular leagues
2013: Regular leagues
2014: World Leagues
etc.

This way big clubs from smaller countries can also earn Premiership like TV revenues and sponsorship deals, it will make the finance more equal. Now the Premiership gets richer and richer and better and better, while smaller leagues will stay the same. This way big clubs from smaller countries can develop financial and in a sportive way (every week playing games against the best of the continents will make the players better). This way also non-football loving nations can make more interest in the sport because of the global interest like there is in the World Cup.

Personally, I don't care for the idea, but what exactly are those little numbers next to the team names. It's interesting that you advocate this as a way for big clubs from smaller countries to earn more revenues, but when it comes to America you only include teams from the biggest countries.

those numbers have to be some kind of point system for a global club ranking, as he looks to have just found a list of the top 100 world clubs or something.

This could work but as a Champions-League type tournament, running in conjunction with the regular season. It would be too disruptive to alter the league structure in individual countries once every four years and then back again

And that's going to be really great for the small teams in the small leagues. I'm sure teams like AZ or Boavista will really be excited about Ajax and Porto flying round the world making tens of millions.

Funny how the fans of big clubs in small countries whine about being outspent by big clubs in big countries, but have no problems outspending smaller clubs in their own leagues. Can you say 'hypocrite'?

I've never laughed so far in absolute ages. This is even nuttier than your 32 and 16 World League threads.

Don't fix what isn't broken. If you want Leagues of even quality, debate about salary caps, not farcical ideas such as this.

You are mental, pal.

Vissel?! Really, Vissel?! You just pulled a bunch of teams out of your ass to support an idea you came up with on the toilet. You should jack off next time you get bored, it'd be more productive.

Eindhoven, what is your issue with the leagues as they are?

This thread is going nowhere. Besides, we already have two other 'league merger' threads going.
