And for 6M no less.
I would have liked to have had him but 6M probably a bit more than I would have liked Davie to pay. Obviously he thought the same thing.

Yup, Nugent had been holding out hoping we'd come in for a bid, but quite rightly Davie Moyes decided £6m was too much.

Gotta give the guy credit though in that he WANTED to come to Everton. You love players that want to play for us.

I wonder if it's more than the pice, because these days £6 seems like coffee money (not that it's right). But Moyes has done a fantastic job of molding a "team" and maybe he felt like Nugent might not fit into what he has built.

That is certainly a possibility. Moyes was recently quoted as saying something to the effect that big spending by the clubs with all the cash has made harder for clubs like Everton who aren't loaded to buy quality. There's the possibility of paying top dollar for average players and a club like ours has to be a bit more careful in the market than one of the big three.

Don't think he's worth that much. I think Rasiak is a better bet from the CCC and cheaper too as he is older but a better scorer.

Maybe off to Derby now, who knows?
