Hi
As you probably know, Issey Nakajima-Farran plays here in Denmark (currently for FC Nordsjælland) and now his younger brother Paris Nakajima-Farran is trialing with my club Næstved BK and I'm assuming (possibly foolishly) that he is also Canadian which is why I'm asking this forum for some info on him.
All I know is that he's a left back.
Thanks in advance. :)

How much younger is he than Issey? IIRC correctly Issey & his family left Canada when he was three, so unlike Issey he might not have been born here (though with a Canadian father I think he would still be eligible to play for Canada, just the same way Hargreaves is eligible to play for England).

A quick search turned up Yui Paris NAKAJIMA on the Yokohama F. Marinos Youth Squad (http://www.f-marinos.com/youth/youth/). I bet that's him.
From what I've read of Issey's family history the 1989 birthdate would mean that Paris was born in Japan.

Paris is five years younger than Issey. He holds the same passports as his brother and he was born in Japan.

I figured I might as well bump this to tell you that he has in fact signed a contract with the club. He will probably mostly be playing for the reserve team and youth team although he could get a runout in the next cup game since it's still early in the cup and we're playing basically a non-league team.
It seems likely that he will get some first team games this season though since he played in pretty much all the pre-season friendlies.
Finally, I guess his parents are living here as well since they wrote a letter to the Vejle fanclub (Issey's former club) saying goodbye and talking about how they had been to all the games plus they were the ones actually signing the deal since Paris isn't old enough yet. The fact that older brother Issey is living a mere 100km north is probably another factor in him signing.

Might as well bump this age old topic with some updated info.
We're at the halfway point in the season in the Danish first division and Paris has played 11 games out of a total 19 games. He has played almost exclusively at left midfield this season and he has done reasonably well, only real complaint is that he needs to hit the weights and bulk up a bit. He's a tiny little fellow.
Anyway, the other day there was a news piece on the clubs website saying that he had been called up to a Canadian training camp of sorts which runs from January 21st to February 7th so with any luck he can get his first cap for Canada.

that would be great. glad to hear he will be at least attending a camp. our first scheduled friendly for 2008 isn't until march 26th! so it could be in preperation for that? we will be playing estonia so it might make sense that our european based players will be called - and maybe he will get his first cap or at least see the pitch in (canadian) red and white...
or it could be (and more than likely is) to get a look at him for our olympic u-23 team. which will be competing march 12, 14 and 16.
our world cup campaign doesn't start until june and i'm sure (at least at this point) he probably won't be a part of that group - maybe in a few years.

The news bit said that Canada would play a game against St. Lucia on Feb 2nd and another game on Feb 6th against an unnamed team.

well thats fantastic and sad at the same time... great news for us to play a couple of friendlies in the next few weeks but said this news is coming from the other side of the earth. don't get me wrong, i appreciate your information... i'm just disappointed in our own sport coverage in this country.
thank you very much. i hope in fact that we will be playing these friendlies...

I'll just bump this every time some news comes in about Paris.
He just left for Canada the other day for some U20 training camp from May 5th to 13th where they're playing against Argentina's U20s and I guess probably some other teams as well.
