Just a few weeks ago I didn't even know this guy existed, and now I can't imagine this Brazil Squad without him!! Granted he's no kaka, ronaldo or ronaldinho and some might say that he's only playing because the "big guns" decided to not come to this tournament---but honestly i think Dunga has found a player that he can rely on once the very long south american world cup qualifiers start. As we all know the A team guys can't play all the qualifiers, so you need a good pool of players to choose from and this guy seems to have played his way into the national team with his performance in Copa America. Wagner Love is just all hustle, hard work, and he can thread some great passes!! On top of that he's got some nice moves when he tries to take defenders one on one in the box!! Granted he's missed quite a few chances but from what i hear he scores a lot of goals for his team in europe and just the other day he finally got the goal that he had been looking for this entire tournament. On top of that he's got a ready made media friendly "look" with those blue dreads!! =D I can just imagine this guy in a Nike jogo bonito commercial!!

I think he played the UEFA Cup final a couple of years ago with his team from Russia

I only like Wagner Love because of that goal celebration he did in a CSKA home game. After scoring, he runs up towards the stands, grabs a police officer's hat, and does one of the best dances I've seen since Amokachi's USA '94 days.

Haven't been able to find a clip of that game, though. =\

I think the reason he's got the word "Love" after his name is even better...

actually, it will be hard for any of the guys from today no to come back!

why? they believed in dunga's ideas, when no one give it crap about it....and the result was historic.

how can you not call them next time?
That will take all Dunga's credibility away from the rest...

I think Love is a very good support striker, who knows how to assist very well.
He doesn't fit the role that is required by Dunga's tactics.

Is that because he is not a defender? ;)

You know nothing about football.
Dunga plays with one goalie and just 9 defenders.

Love came through in the final game--in other words he stepped up his game when it really counted. He was all over the field harrasing the argentines when they had the ball and when it was time to attack it seemed he was always in the box area just one step away from delivering a lethal blow. His greatest contribution yesterday though was that excellent through ball that he made that resulted in a goal. That was about as good a feed of a striker as i've seen.

Will he come back? Yeah i think so, he showed that he fits within dunga's scheme of play. As we all know, the south american world cup qualifiers are very long and the big guns can't play every single game. He will make the team either as a sub when the bug guns play or as a starter when they are absent.

Before I finish, let me take the time to congratulate Brazil and its fans. In spanish there is a saying "Brazil es Brazil" and it was certainly proved correct yesterday. A Brazilian B team playing hard and without much flash was able to beat a world class Argentine A squad that had terrorized everyone that played them in the tournament up until that point and had skill and class to spare. They didnt just beat them--they were beaten hard. So Kudos and Good Show!!
