The following message is from DC United, with regards to support for Poplar Point:

The response was so good over the weekend (meaning a lot of folks were contacting the mayor and various council members) that we have decided it is best not to overwhelm them with emails and letters at this time.

Instead, we're going to ask all those who support the stadium project to send emails and letters directly to us at D.C. United, so that we may compile them for future use.

Letters should be sent to:

Kyle Sheldon
c/o Stadium Support
D.C. United / RFK Stadium
2400 East Capitol St. SE
Washington, DC 2003

Emails can be sent to stadium@dcunited.com

All correspondence should include a note of the person's residence - whether that be D.C., VA, MD or otherwise.

Letters can take much the same approach as if one were writing it directly to the mayor - the numerous talking points on the boards can be used as individuals see fit.

The main message should be "As a resident of ____, I support D.C. United's plan for Poplar Point and want the stadium opened by 2010."
DC United is truly appreciative of all of our efforts and of our intense passion and support for the club.

Let's keep up this momentum, and send in our letters to DC United!

Please use the current stadium news thread (http://www.bigsoccer.com/forum/showthread.php?t=555890) to discuss this. Thank you!
