KC is in fourth place in the Eastern Conference at 6-5-4 and 22 pts. RSL is in last place in the Western Conference at 1-7-6 and 9 pts.
Wizards coming off a 2-2 draw with Los Angeles. Last 5 matches: D-L-D-L-L.
RSL coming off a loss at Columbus. Last 5 matches: L-L-W-L-L.
Will EJ exploit RSL's decrepit defense? Will Marinelli show his Argentine flair?
Will RSL be able to get some shots on goal? Will we see a DP signed before the weekend?

4-1 Wiz. EJ gets another hat trick and Arnaud puts in another. Watson scores, but gets called out by JK for not scoring five goals from all his five shots. Mean while no one else on the team gets a shot, but JK is silent. Jay Jay realizes what a crappy team he is coming to and backs out of the deal but RSL claims its due to visa problems. Coach E blames the ref's, even though no PK's were given. and in the post game JK says we are getting better and just need time to gel. Same thing on any given Saturday for RSL....:(

3-1 KC Our goal is from a PK since that's how we can score.

3-0 KC. We get a PK, but Esky is not there to take it so Andy hammers it over the bar.
And I'll be there!
Props for road trippin'. Hopefully RSL will reward you for your traveling efforts.

Holy cow, our season in one post! I'ld rep you but need to spread it more.

I'm going with this as the season nadir: 5-0 KC. Johnson gets held in check by Pope, but Movsisyian scores two, Arnaud gets one, Conrad on a corner, and Harrington barrels past whoever we have outside for the fifth. Ismitje, wisely taking KC players for his MLS Fantasy League team, cleans up, but isn't very happy about it. Because for all of the EbraTSu bravado, losing all of the time still stinks.

Ha ha! Glad I'm not the only one. I hate to do it, but you gotta play the odds right?

so it looks like we will have as many RSL fans at the game as KC fans :).
I dont know what's worse...watching RSL play or being distracted by all of the empty seats at a Wizards game.

Would I be too bold to ask RSL for more than 3 shots on goal?

We may have more fans than KC...I'm taking 6 or 7 people that are new to MLS (I know, horrible venue to introduce them to the league, but it's what I've got)...my group alone could put them over the top for attendance numbers this year.

Not trolling....just wanted to say thanks for bringing more new potential Wizards fans down from Des Moines! :D The venue is actually nicer than you think...real grass with no football lines (at least until August). Unfortunately, a big football stadium is not really the best place to see soccer, but it's better than the alternative of playing at a temporary venue, which will be our home for the next 1-2 years while a SSS is being built. You will be surprised how much noise our fans make, tease us though you will about our attendance size (why not--everybody else on BS does). Just wait until about 5-10 minutes after kickoff when the Argentinian group makes their entrance into the Cauldron.....you'll know what I mean when you hear it! Seriously, considering the two teams playing and the proximity of Des Moines to KC, you may well create some new KC fans, so thanks ahead of time.

Apparently yes.
Never rule out an own goal either. It is about time for that.
Can you just feel the bitterness really start to sink in?

Good call, Praxis. We haven't seen a high-quality Three Stooges moment (http://coachkreis.blogspot.com/2007/06/rocky-mountain-cup-matchup-2.html)lately. An own goal would be very entertaining this game.

Getting to see bad soccer live has to be better than no soccer, doesn't it?

3-1 KC. We get the first... and then slowly but surely lose it in the 2nd half.

I agree with Joffray. 3-1 KC.
