How do you win this one? Well, one has to remember that Argentina plays the ball fast and every ball goes through Riquelme, Cambiasso and Masche. Mexico will have to ********ing press hard, mark and fight for the ball every inch of the field. The key to winning this match is scoring at least first 20 minutes of the match. Also, The ball has to be played on the wings and make sure that there are no turnovers!! Take out Riquelme, Messi and Cambiasso. We could have a decent game that way. If Mexico wins, there's Brazil we have to deal with.
Also, first touch the ball and keep the ball when its necessary!
Fuerza Mexico!

Ojala que repita la misma alineacion nomas que enves de oswaldo que pongan a memo.
No me siento tan seguro con oswaldo en la porteria.

Are all players on the Argentine squad eligible to play or are any having to sit the game out?

Igualmente. You queria A memo para la Semi-final. Y dependiendo de como lo veo, pues a ver quien me gustaria ver jugar la final.

Oswaldo made one big mistake in this past game.
he came out too far on a player who was near the goal line on the left and had very little angle, him coming out put the goal wide open for him to cross to the center, which is what he did. luckily they didnt score.

I agree I think that we should go with the same starting 10 and put memo in the back.
Im already psyched for this one.

It's his distribution I'm worried about. It really hasn't cost us since that friendly against Korea but it will eventually.

If we beat Argentina we have to do it by scoring 3 goals.
I don't want no controversially bullshit.

i know what you mean, but, the way both selecciones are playing, it might be a pretty close game (again), but i hope i'm wrong. I do know that we need to score early, and yes Memo in case we go to penalties.

Its interesting to note the change in Hugo's tactics. Against Paraguay, our attack initiated from teh back with Oswaldo having to distribute. I noticed a couple times he would ask Rafa who he should pass to. He does seem very unsure with the ball at his feet.
Memo should get the nod.

It's the bloopers I'm worried about. In the gold cup, can't remember which game, but he tried to boot it out and it was like a bad punt that landed close to the box and the opposing player. In this game he also threw the ball out one time into a very dangerous place. It's like he's not thinking or something. Makes me real uncomfortable.

Yes i too noticed that and this isnt the first time, he made a couple of key mistakes as well in the Ecuador game but luckily for him and us they werent able to capitalize BUT the argies are different! you mess one up like that and they will make you pay.
Did you see today when he came out to the edge of the big box after the ball and I think it was Roque Santa cruz who tunneled the ball through oswaldo's legs? I was like oh my!!!! luckily a defender came out and helped but it he was almost set free and the entire goal box wide open.
He also he came out to get a ball around the penalty spot on a corner kick and went up for the ball but couldnt control it and left it loose for a split second! that was scary, a more aggresive player like a tevez capitalizes on those plays. Its almost certain he will start but I hope Hugo has the balls and the sufficient knowledge to sub him out for Ochoa in case the game goes into Penalty shoot out. We ALL know damn well how BAD oswaldo is stoping penalty kicks!!!!!!

Its going to be a great game.
Argentina drew with paraguay and paraguay played most of their bench.
I really believe Mexico can beat Argentina.

Ever since I saw a Mexico-Argentina friendly at the Los Angeles Coliseum as a youngster, I've been dreaming of an official rematch, with Mexico as the team to beat. THIS IS IT! Finally, my Tri is all grown up. I'm so proud to be Mexican. My father loves el Tri and I'm grateful to God that I can share these moments with him. I wish I could have had the opportunity to share these glorious days with my grandfather as well, he too loved el Tri.
Thank you DT Sanchez. I'll be the first to admit that I did not think you had what it took to lead el equipo de TODOS. Now, I know that you are the right man for the job. Sorry for all the times I criticized you in front of my family at the dinner table. You've earned ONE CALENDAR YEAR of my whole-hearted support and appreciation.
I can't wait to demonstrate to the entire world that this continent has a football powerhouse NORTH of the equator! And I love the fact that the youth is stepping on the heels of the current squad. Too bad la SUB17 isn't reproducing the success of the past. We have a great thing going and it needs to continue to be nurtured.
On a side note: I'm concerned that Guardado is not concentrating on the pitch. Lord knows I wouldn't play the same if my performance was being evaluated by my next employer. This is only natural. I hope the PSV deal goes down officially before the game against the Argies so that Guardado can focus on what he does best: futbol.
