Yeah I think so too. LA Galaxy and Red Bulls are probably rich clubs too. Especially Red Bull is a big sponsor, they're pumping a lot of money to make the club better.

Real Madrid will sell television rights to its games through 2013 to the production company Grupo Mediapro for €1.1 billion in what it called a record deal for a sports team.

"This agreement is a new landmark in the history of this club," Real Madrid said Monday on its Web site.

It said it had accepted the biggest offer, the equivalent of $1.4 billion, with "the most solid" guarantees. It is more than double what the club currently gets.

The sale may force Sogecable, the largest Spanish pay-TV company, which dominates coverage of soccer in the country through its Canal+ stations, to pay Mediapro more to transmit games. Sogecable is paying more to air the matches of the European champion, Barcelona, after Mediapro in June bought the rights for about €1 billion for seven years.

Hell you might be able to compete in Europe with that. Still the richer on average is the EPL, and the only reason Man Utd and co don't negotiate their own TV deals is because they can't yet.

Not really. Real Madrid & Barcelona signed €1.1 billion(£770m) and €1 billion(£665m) TV contracts with Mediapro that would guarantee them €160m(£110m) and €140m(£95m) per season. That is more then 2 times what the top Premier League clubs will earn.

The Premier League top clubs will be earn €70m (£50m) for the TV deal, while the bottom clubs will earn a reported €40m (£27m).

That's just two teams. The mid to lower teams in Spain get ******** all, and most teams in Spain don't get any significant ticket revenue.
