Subbuteo as its known around the world is taking hold in the USA.

Top clubs to consider...

Washington DC Tuesday Night Subbuteo Club

Charlottesville Subbuteo Club

Connecticut Table Soccer Club...

I'll give you the goods on CT Table Soccer Club.

1) Great Website (www.ct-tablesoccer.tk)
2) Members from all over the state
3) Great guest players
4) Great weekly competition
5) Very good showing at the major events
6) We have some very cool members
7) We are improving every week
8) We make our own goals
9) Pretty good organization.

Enjoy

You can't ignore BUSL, formerly known just simply as the B.S.

We're the 2nd oldest club in the ASA, established in 1995 (one year after WTSL did).

Since our inception we have carried the Northwest Region, hosting at least 2 regionals every years except 1, IIRC, and that year we still held 1.

We've experienced the highs and lows of membership numbers, with 6 players at one point, down to 3 now (however, one member has emeritus status and only plays in tournaments). Not bad considering the population that Boise has.

We've got a nice website too, and sometimes it's funny.

BUSL placed both traveling members in the top 8 Americans of the GP in May.

We started the Mary Jane (who has sadly been lost, although rumor has it that Ron Ferguson may have it in NYC).

Plenty more that I could get into, but I'll save it for later. BTW, all the clubs mentioned are good clubs, as are others like Minnesota Subbuteo League and the Bedford Premier League. It's just that clubs like BPL, BUSL, MSL are spread further apart and can't get to as many events as the east coast clubs, creating an east coast bias similar to the one that has plagued college football for years(j/k).

Plus you like Manchester United, so we have that bias as well.

Nice to get some history about the club here.

Boise...you should move to CT and join our league, or just fly in on Fridays.

:D

Man, flying from Boise to Hartford is expensive. I priced tickets for the National and the cheapest I saw was about $400 or so. Getting into DC was about $200 in comparison.

And as a Hammer, I would be disappointed if you didn't hold at least a small bias against me for being a Manchester United fan. And a small parting shot, maybe we'll see you back up in '04.

Hartford is a pain and more expensive that is certain, but for the sake of Subby you should consider it :D

Better to be a small club like West Ham and know that your souls are not blackened by a deal with the devil.
