I realize the organizers of the U-20 tourney wanted to sell as many tickets as possible, but considering the likelihood of having a fairly large away support for most European and South American opponents Canada faces especially in Toronto, would it not have made more sense to have Canada play these teams in a places that the away support is least likely.
If I had my druthers - we would have played Chile and Austria in Edmonton and play Congo in Toronto.
I found it very disheartening that the Chilean crowd was louder and more organized in their chanting and support a the NSS, and the fact that their fans were spread out all over the stadium made organizing our support more difficult. As I see it, Canada got far weaker support than TFC gets in terms of noise and chants - that's a shame, especially on Canada Day.
