Yes, he's still injured.

The last I heard, Chris had begun jogging, etc, a while back. But as far as I know, he's yet to practice with the Burn.

Let's hope he's ready by the end of the month because the Burn begin September with 3 games in 5 days and they'll need every playeron the roster to be able to contribute.

Sept. 1 at Colorado
Sept. 3 at Los Angeles (US Open Cup)
Sept. 5 vs. NY/NJ

IMO, you can realistically ask your starters to play in 2 of the 3 games and still expect them to give you a solid game. However, if you ask your starters to play all 3 games, especially factoring in travel and the heat, you're asking for a flat game from by the 5th.

Therefore, I would expect some of the starters to sit against the Rapids, all of first string to play in the Open Cup game, then the starters who played in Denver to sit versus the Metros. (I use the preferred starters in the Open Cup game because at this point in the competition, it's the most important match.)

To do that, Jeffrires is going to have to go deep into his bench. Bussey, Olivares, Morrison, the new GK, EJ, Stone and even Behncke will all likely get a start in one of the 2 MLS games so that the starters can rest. And, if he's not going to do himself any damage, I can see Gbandi being thrown to the fire in one of these games as well.

Here's hoping he's ready because with their schecule, the team sure can use him.

Geez.

And Europe thinks they have fixture congestion.

That is insane.

I hope we really really concentrate on LA, I really wanna beat those over-rated babies. ughh it would good to de-thrown them, if we win I think we pretty much will win the cup (vs columbus, Milwalkee, or KC [grr]).

At this point it looks like Gbandi will not play this season. Best to consider him a bonus #1 for next year.

I sure hope Gbandi does well next season. Just think of how good the Burn would be right now if they had picked Twellman with the #1 pick.

True, but EJ wouldn't have gotten off of the bench. Gbandi will be good. Besides, if we'd have picked Twellman, he would have been injured and Gbandi would have been rookie of the year for New England ;)

With the defense we had last year, we probably would have passed on Carlos Ruiz.
