I honestly thought that Chelsea would dominate English football for many many years. At the time they won there first title for Abramovich under Mourinho,I felt United were a spent force and that Fergie was slowly losing the plot. Then there was the takeover of United by the Glazers,And according to the red devils die hards it was the death of the club.
Then last season United were simply too much for Chelsea to cope with,They got there noses in front and refused to let it slip.Fergie proved the doubters(including myself)wrong.
Now onto the forthcoming season,And for me its a no brainer,United will win it again,They have been spending really big money on the likes of,Owen Hargreaves,Anderson and Nani from Portugal,Who are both supposed to be in the same catagory as Christiano Ronaldo,And today on the football 365 site ive read that they are going to pay 20 million to prize Carlos Tevez away from his contraversial time at West Ham,It appears to be more than just gossip too.Thats it for me,I dont feel Chelsea will be good enough,I never thought id be saying that for some time.

Considering most of what could have gone wrong for Chelsea did go wrong (other than Drogba's form) with transfers and injuries and considering Chelsea set the Premiership record for most points in a season two years ago and had the title practically won by Christmas last season, to suggest Chelsea are a spent force is ludicrous. Especially since the success of players like Nani and Anderson is far from assured. Juan Sebastian Veron, anyone?
Besides, Owen Hargreaves? Big whoop.

I think you're getting ahead of yourself. Nani and Anderson? FFS they could be the biggest flops of all time. Had you heard of these guys prior to them signing for united, Nani maybe?
Chelsea suffered alot of injuries last season and everyone will be out to beat the defending champs United.
Liverpool will be alot stronger this time around. Kuyt has settled, we have probably the strongest midfield in the league and now we have, hopefully, the striker who can finish off all our chances.
Liverpool aren't done spending yet either. I expect atleast 3 or 4 to follow Torres, Leiva and Voronin.
It'll be a three horse race this year. Liverpool, Chel$ki and United. I expect West Ham, Arsenal and Tottenham to battle for 4th.

Chelsea raised the bar in the PL and United and to a lesser extent Liverpool have responded. Chelsea haven't gone anywhere. Their rivals responded to the challenge though.
The difference between United 2004-2005 and United 2007-2008 is stunning.

You really see West Ham competing for a Champs League Spot?
I don't think they'll top those 2 London clubs, Everton, Pompey, nor Newcastle.
I don't even see them beating out the likes of Reading.

If they were able to keep Tevez, which we all know they won't, then I could see it. But with Carlito moving to ManU, I think West Ham will do well to stay up.
(And Reading aren't going to equal last year, with Sidwell gone.)

Too much for Chelsea? Chelsea didn't win the title but they won both domestic cups, conceded the least goals in the Premiership and lost the least amount of times.
Too much by far.

they will go the same way as Wigan. They had a great first season in the premiership. Almost everybody I knew said that they would slip the following year, everyone would have worked out their style of play by then. And look what happened, they had to rely on David Unsworth to keep them up, who is like a big turd that never goes away no matter how often you flush.

Who are you gonna support if Chelsea meet Real Madrid in the CL?
Let me guess. Whoever wins, right?

All hail Malcolm Glazer! Love him or hate him, but the results speak for themselves. A club adrift and listing to port when he bought the team is now champions again and improving.

Nani and Anderson = Utterly unknown EPL properties. While it was a marvel to watch Tevez at the end of the season he scored a total of 7 goals and you are spending how much for him? On a player that is pretty much a clone of a player you already have? Taking a West Ham on your back is far different then trying that with ManU. Granted he is having a great Copa but I would still consider him an almost unknown property in the EPL. I will admit to not watching much Bundesliga but I hadnt been overly impressed with Owen before the last WC and he spent most of last season on the bench with a broken leg? You are pretty much banking on 4 (basically) unknown properties in the EPL. Some might consider that a little premature
