Adelaide City Force president Bob D’Ottavi has announced the club will decide by Tuesday whether it will pull out of the NSL.

The foundation club’s future has been cloudy since D’Ovatti siad earlier this month it was suffering huge financial losses.

D’Ovatti told AAP that unless a new financial backer could be found, the club would be forced out of the NSL.

"That (a new backer) hasn't happened yet," D'Ottavi said.

"The board of Adelaide City will meet on Tuesday and we will have to make some sort of decision."

D’Otavvi added that Soccer Australia’s uncertain future hadn’t helped the Force. Businessman Frank Lowy was expected to be in charge of SA by now, but his appointment has been stalled by opposition from some SA directors.

"We were hoping the new Soccer Australia board would be elected by now, but that won't happen until July 19," D'Ottavi said.

"That has been a little bit disappointing, because we wanted to know what would happen to the national soccer league under the new board."

D’Otavvi said the club would field a side in Adelaide’s Premier League if it was to pull out of the NSL.
