A rematch of the quarterfinals 3 years ago in Peru 2004 where Argentina beat Peru 1-0 with a Carlos Tevez free-kick.

Crespo (Inter Milan-ITA) is out for Argentina, while Farfan (PSV Eindhoven-HOL) is out for Peru. Both due to injuries.

Alberto Rodriguez (Sporting Braga-POR) has to sit out due to accumulation of yellow cards for Peru.

Basile has said Argentina's starting line up will be the same as the first two games with Milito in for Crespo.

I've never been one to argue with a coaches decision, especially el Coco with the way the team has been playing thus far. I would prefer Tevez in for Crespo but el Coco is the one who practices with these guys...so he must know something we don't.

VAMOS ARGENTINA!!!

I think he wanted to replace a #9 with another #9. Thus Milito insted of Tevez.

Now Basile changed his mind. He says he might make some changes to the line up especially in the attack.

Basile no dio el equipo, pero sería el mismo de los dos primeros partidos, salvo Crespo.

In my opinion, it's not a case of whether Peru has the skill to beat Argentina. I really think they do (at least give them good, tough, game). The problem is whether the players on the field have the mentality/discipline to play against such a strong team like Argentina.

As far as I'm concerned, this is like a World Cup game. In the World Cup you're going to face teams as strong as Argentina. Heck, Argentina hasn't advance past the QF since 1990. If Peru doesn't have the mentality to face this game, then what's the point of even going to the World Cup?

Worst comes to worst, I hope Peru doesn't embarrass themselves like Chile did last night.
