Belated Canada Day to those of you in the Great White North. Used to love heading up to the border to visit relatives when I was a kid and getting a double dose of fireworks!

There's an Americans-only party at the Jumeirah Beach Hotel near the Burj al-Arab, if anyone is familiar with Dubai. $45 for all-you-can-eat BBQ and all-you-can-drink beer. Brilliant! :D

We watched fireworks last night; might drive down to Orlando tonight and camp out for some big fireworks. It's too overcast for the beach, but a day with no working is plenty holiday for me.
