K I say this game will basically be won by the US if Calero starts for Colombia kick it from Mid field and its a goal. He only stops 1 every 4 shots :eek:
but u guys are at a disadvantage because Vargas isnt playing and he is the best player for the opposite team...

In regards to this game, I hope for the United States' sake that Mexico knocks off Chile by three goals beforehand. That way, all we need is win and through. Will it be easy? Nope. But that at least gives us a chance.

US.... basically we need a miracle to occur and to have one of our feds sell out.... there is no way either Colombia or US will make it, but both have to go out to regain some honor and hopefully not end last. Look at the bright side this isnt ur confed u are in the confederations cup, on the other hand Colombia was Champion 2 cups ago, 4th with a youth squad last cup and this cup when our New coach says this is the basis for his qualifier squad they crash out and played the worst they have done in 40 years..:mad:

Like I said, if Mexico can beat Chile by 3, it should knock Chile to a 3rd place with 3 points and a -5 GD. From that point, it will be hard for Colombia to qualify (they'd most likely need to win by 3), but the United States would only need a win, putting their GD at -4 or better -- just barely enough to qualify.

scoring 3 on any body is hard, and not saying that they wont score on Chile but Chile not scoring back I see a little hard to believe. Just look at Chiles squad. I see Colombia US being a 2-1 or 3-2 game going either way and knocking out both unless Mexico wins 5-0 and US wins which is unlikely

Uruguay's draw just then may have helped the winner of this match, as it ensures that they cannot face Brazil or Mexico in the quarterfinals.

did u watch these matchs? Teams arent even tring any more. U think the mexicans are going to go out of their way to try to help the US or Colombia qualify? Chile is in unless Ecuador wins and is in.
Lets put it this way only way US will make it if they pay off Chile and Colombia to let u guys score 5. Then you will end up playing Mexico or Brasil in the 2nd round and go home then:D . I wanted both these teams to make it but u have to see its over. the 1st 3rd qualified already and the 2nd will tommorrow. IF Lets say Mexico wins 2-0 and Chile has -4, and US beats Colombia 1-0. Chile qualifies even tho u both have the same goals against !!!
also hate to break it to u but Chile is a very very good team and I wouldnt count them out against Mexico like everyone thinks

colombia llega a este juego en una inferioridad infinita: sicologicamente por el suelo, el DT si pierde se va y el grp dividido! NO chance for a a good game

not that it matters, i think the USA will be lucky to win....but what if Chile and USA tie on GD...does it go to goal scored... right now USA has 2 Chile has 3....which would change and possibly be even.....interesting thoughts

Just wanted to correct one of your points....
If Mexico wins and Brazil wins and USA beats Colombia and the goal difference adds up right (not saying that all of that will happen, but if it did) the USA would be the 2nd best 3rd place team and would face Venezuela (1st place in Group A) in the QF.

Well, there (almost) goes the hopes of the United States and Colombia. Since Mexico couldn't put a goal past Chile (and frankly, even one would have helped), a Brazil win or draw would eliminate both the USA and Colombia. Had Mexico won 1-0, then a two goal win would advance the United States on most goals.
Go Ecuador!

Well the US didn't show even 1 good thing;
4-1 and 3-1 were their best display.
Bye bye yanks:D
