Hopefully the boys can recover from the opener and get a win.

Will leave stickied for 2 days after the game.

Let us pray that they do. That was unbearable to watch...but kudos to Chile, they were a very talented team.

i spoke with nigel reed and craig forrest after the game and we all felt the lack of canadian support in toronto was partial to the result. edmonton will bring a much better support for our boys and hopefully they can string together a couple of wins.

if we can win the next 2 = 6 pts.

assuming chile will beat both congo and austria and finish with 9 we would obviously secure 2nd spot. the draw today between congo/austria can only be good for us at this point in time.

and jusdging by the play of both teams, we would match up better to both countries much better than vs chile.

come on boys! you guys can do it! good luck from the east! we'll be with you guys every step!

Good luck to Canada.

Hopefully someone can tell your manager that Simeon Jackson's best position is as a striker not a midfielder. And he is right footed, so playing him on the left wing isn't a good idea really.

All the best - hopefully Jacko will play up front for you, and you might be able to see some of his best play.

i think a different formation will help if we ever play chile again. maybe even a 4-5-1 or a 4-4-1-1 we have some great punch up front and some wheels on the flanks. maybe lombardo would be better in a support roll as the strike partner for ricketts or jackson who had a much better/more threatening start against argentina a drew a penalty which david edgar converted - even though the formation was quite similar to taht of chile.

i did feel and wondering if anyone else felt that johnson looked out of sorts for most of the match. he usually has some prettty strong presence and is a very vocal leader on the pitch. i'm not sure that i even saw him open his mouth once...

Three points is what we need. End of story. Three points will erase the dismal performance of Sunday and make it easy for Canada to advance in the second spot.

PS...there was a lot of Canadian support at the game on Sunday...however they didn't give us much to cheer or get excited about. It was a completely lackluster performance which frustrated the hell out of me...Chile played exceptionally well and dominated every aspect of the game. But I'm sure this is something everyone already knows....LETS GOOOOOOOOOOO CANUCKS!

If they try and cut out the endless long balls and attempt to keep possession for more than 3 passes I think they will fare significantly better tonight. Peters has to get involved more if they are going to get a positive result tonight. Teams know he's one of our biggest threats and they'll be marking him tightly, but he needs to step it up.

I wonder how Canada ever got into the U20... considering their lack of talent. They just can't get that little round thing into the box... I'm still cheering for them, though.

And, yeah, I notice the audio/video sync is off... It's like having a continuous 2 second spoiler :D LOL

Yes... it looks pathetic in Edmonton, what with the waterslide of a turf, and the patchwork of fans lost in the sea of emtpy seats...

They put the camera on the wrong side, looks like camera side is more full.

Canada is doing their best job of copying TFC's early start in MLS.
