NO WAY São Paulo has a revenue of 70 million euro.

São Paulo earn about 20 million REAIS from TV.

Around 5 million from game tickets at Libertadores and more 5 million in the brazilian championship.

Grêmio about the same thing, but 15 million from TV instead of 20 million.

Brazilian clubs earn a lot from selling players to Europe.

O estudo feito por uma empresa que avaliou os balanços de 21 clubes do futebol brasileiro, constatou que o São Paulo foi o clube com maior receita em 2006. O tricolor paulista arrecadou pouco mais de R$ 122 milhões. O segundo lugar ficou com o Inter. Os títulos da Libertadores e do Mundial fez com que o clube pulasse do nono para o segundo lugar, com quase R$ 109 milhões de receita. O ano passado também apresentou mudança importante na forma de arrecadação. A negociação de atletas deixou de ser o principal item de faturamento (23%, ante 31% do exercício anterior), superada pelas cotas de TV (29% atuais contra 26% registrado em 2005).
O Atlético-PR foi o clube que mais dependeu de venda de jogadores para encher os cofres (47% do total da receita). O Inter vem logo a seguir, com 43%. Vale lembrar, porém, que o valor acumulado pelos principais 21 clubes brasileiros - R$ 987,04 milhões - no ano passado, é quase o mesmo que o arrecadado somente pelo espanhol Real Madrid, que embolsou 281 milhões de euros, o que corresponde a R$ 730 milhões em uma única temporada.

From the 2005 numbers in looking at net worth and aggregate deficit/superavit columns it looks like there's lots of highly insolvent teams specially "Cariocas" is that what it means?

There is one typo I noticed. That is Barueri is listed as Baruel. Interesting point about Barueri is that they were also the only Brazilian club on this list to show a profit without player trading. Even more interesting is that they were in Serie C in 2006.

All of the figures for the 90 Brazillian clubs are from the internet. The Serie A clubs are easy to find, as for the rest it is a case of visiting club sites or newspaper sites and collating the data and so on . . I am not suggesting that all the figures are correct, some may be budgets as opposed to income/revenues . . this is why it is open to discussion. But i think it is a fair reflection of how much revenues clubs generate in Brazil . . . please tell me otherwise if you disagree . .

Alex teixeira from vasco had transfer fee of R$ 100 millions (U$ 60 millions) but for now no one will give vasco that, for example.

são paulo, flamengo, santos and inter probably had the most valuable players.
