Final game of our group stage. We have to win, nothing else helps us. Should be a good game as both teams will be looking for the gol.
If we play like we did against Uruguay we'll be going home. If we play more offensive and with huevos I wont be too bitter even if we lose.

It would be nice to play on a dry field for a change.

What changes in the lineup do you guys wanna see, I'd like to see Jhasmani Campos get some minutes & I wouldn't mind if Vaca was benched he's terrrrrrrible.

I want to see reyes out, and also maybe sub moreno a little earlier depending on how good he's playing.

If Vaca never wears the colors again that's ok with me. We need a true #10

The team has a chance. Peru was brought down to earth with that loss. Momentum is on our side. I hope:o

How many goals do we need to win by? At least two I think...

Id also like to see Campos in.......
Also I heard Pizarro might not be in cuz he's injured....
As long as we win it does not matter the difference because we end with 4 points. If this happens, for all cases we come in 2nd unless we win by 1 goal and Uruguay wins by 1 goal. In this case we come in 3rd behind Venezuela. BUT.....we still go as one of the best 3rd because right now in group C both USA and Colombia have 0 points so both of them can get at MOST 3 points.....meaning the 3rd of that group will have AT MOST 3 points. If this last case happens, we could go on as 2nd best 3rd in which case we would face Uruguay on the next round and get our revenge :D
In other words.....if we win we are in.

The way i see it for our group, is we need venezuela to win it, If they dont we'll be in some water.... and no matter what we need a win. Well that is at least to get in second of our group.
Because at the goal differential, Uruguay are at a -2 we are at a -1, ahead of them. Lets say they lose and We win. We are automatically in. Lets say we win 1-0, That puts us at 0. And worst comes to worst they win, we have 4 points, and uruguay has 6. And venezuela depending on how bad they lose, are at a +2 goal diff. at beginning of tommorrow. So we'd have to hope uruguay beats the crap outta them by at least 3.
If they tie, we still have uruguay as we have a beter goal diff. then them.
Havent thought much on the whole 3rd place stuff, so i'll look into that in a little bit but off to bed now.
PS Transformers ROCKED!

OK guys one more update, it seems there is going to be 3 changes to the starting line up.
De entrada va Hugo Suárez en el arco, Jhasmani Campos será el volante por izquierda y como acompañante de Jaime Moreno, el DT decidió introducir en el ataque a Augusto Andaveris
I think these are all good, But andaveris?? Thats the only one that has got me iffy,i'd perfer cabrera instead.
And good job pulling out galarza, He sucks really bad!! His just not quick enough on his reaction, he could have stopped that one goal from venezuela, and the goal from uruguay if he was a pinch faster.

We need to win I also want to see campos in reyes out. I liked sanchez move of puting moreno in vaca's spot. Vaca is small and weak, I like Lima playing instead of reyes. Campos instead of Garcia, I would not go with pena he is slow and won't be able to keep pace. He is a half player he only playes good one half of the game. The last change would be mendez for pena, guys pena is done did you guys see the mistakes he made he almost cost us 2 goals and he did deserve a red after that tackle. We need to count or losses and move on. This would be my lineup for the last game. Watching alot of peruvian tv they are confident that we will be attacking. They are aware that with a tie peru does qualify. But uribe the coach said that he will go out to win like he does every game. I get the feeling that they are underestimating us they sounded very cocky.
----------Galarza----------
Hoyos---Raldes--Mendez---Alvarez
-----------Lima-------------
Mojica-----Moreno------Campos
----Arce---------Cabrera

Great lineup! I would def. go for that. Except for galarza, he's terrible.

Wow...I'm shocked that Andaveris will start over Arce. I know Sanchez wants to take advantage of Arce's speed by bringing him fresh off the bench during the second half, but what good will it due if we're already down??
I like Andaveris' game, I wish coach had played him more but I'm not sure about this. Hopefully it doesn't come back to bite us in the a$$

A very unfair result. I was hoping Bolivia could pull it off but Pizarro in the 85th minute ended the chances of the team that deserved to go through. Bolivia played a great game. :(

Bolivia played better, that is true. But Bolivia did not deserve to go through. Any team that has such a low scoring vs. opportunities rate does not deserve to go through. Pizarro touched it 4 times at most and scored 2 times. That is why Peru deserved to tie and thus to go through.

That being said....I am really proud of this guys.....they only had one off game in all this time. They DID play better.

So we're going home, oh well f*ck it!!!!!
I'm not too down, because we actually played w/some heart today and I like our chances with some of these teams in WC qualifying. If you're gonna lose, which this might as well be a loss, lose laying it all out on the field. Not that pansy sh*t I saw against Uruguay. That's the only game I'm upset about we could have had them had we decided to attack from the beginning.
I think the team will only improve, let Sanchez learn from his mistakes here and fix some things and we'll be ok for qualifying.
I only wish Moreno was 10 years younger:(

Yep. What did i say about moreno Huh? What did i say?
Platini was sick and tired of trying out young guys to just get beat down, he wanted results and thats when moreno came in. Too bad we couldnt hold off peru to our first Copa america birth to the next round since 97.
Downside: We got 4th place, and went down fighting.
Upside: We showed alot of heart and potential and man, we played really well. Campos is going to be good wtih some training in the future. Arce shows some potential... Our whole team does! Suarez is waaaaay better than galarza, keep him in. And our back line? Unlucky with those 2 header goals. All the goals scored against us were BS i feel in the Tourney. Unlucky almost. We've got a solid defense, its just our offense that lacks. And moreno is basically done so, hopefully we can get cabrera playing real well up front with arce, or for the time being andaveris, he didnt play bad and man is he FAASST!!! But hes pretty old, 28. So hes probably not going to be a good person to keep around..
Our mid needs help, Vaca cant do a free kick or a corner if his life depended on it, same applies to mojica. We need someone in midfield. We need a #10 that can hold the ball and distribute. Vaca isnt good for either, he cant hold because of his size, to free up guys to do good runs and he cant be consistent if his life depended on it also. WIth that said, im ready to strap on the Nats uniform and go out there! LOL
But seriously, thats what i see, and if we can get that fixed we should be really competitve this next eliminatorias. We could be the next team to surprise SA again, like 93. God is great, and works in mysterious ways, this is a sign that we're good, but not good enough....

That's a big "IF"
Yeah, IMO, Vaca is horrible and if we can't find a replacement we have a slim chance of qualifying to South Africa.
God are we absolutely HORRIBLE on dead balls or what?
We've got to be the single worst dead ball team in S. America. Our free kicks are practically useless, it's better if they just keep playing. Our defense in dead balls is absolutely horrid.
It still baffles me how there's no one in front of Pizarro for the 1st goal and having known he's a monster in dead balls they don't stick to him like glue for the 2nd goal.
