Please excuse what will more than likely turn out to be an ignorant question...

Coming across the pond from the states in a couple of months for my first trip ever to England. Hoping to catch a match on September 1st. I am going to be in London and would like to see one of the following matches:

Saturday, 01 September 2007

Arsenal v Portsmouth, 15:00

Aston Villa v Chelsea, 15:00

Fulham v Tottenham, 15:00

Can anyone tell me which of these matches are being played in London? Also, what is the best way to purchase tickets? Price is not really a concern but I don't have to have great seats either. Thanks in advance to anyone willing to offer some assistance...

arsenal/pompey and fulham/spurs will be in london. villa/chelsea will be in birmingham.

neither london match will be an easy ticket. that said, neither should be impossible.

if you want to go to the emirates, start by going to the arsenal bigsoccer forum, and check out their tickets & travel boards. they've got a system in place to help out americans with tickets. read the instructions, and follow them, because if you just show up there and ask questions, all they're going to tell you is "read the instructions, and follow them".

for tickets to craven cottage, i've always just gotten them from the club's (fulham's) official website, without any problems. that said, it's a local derby, which means that these tickets might be a bit tougher than any i've gotten. i believe there are one or two fellows (americanmike, perhaps?) over on the bigsoccer fulham boards, as well, who will be glad to help.

either should be a fun match.

www.fulhamusa.com is the official Fulham supporters group in the USA. they might be able to help with tickets to Craven Cottage
