I heard on ESPDeportes that USA will play Mexico at the Azteca sept 9. This could be the fourth time they meet if Mexcio makes it to the GC final and maybe they will see each other at Copa America.

I guess Mexico is desparate for a W in the series since we're playing at Azteca.

but --- good. That's the toughest place to play in these here parts and I'm dying to win a game in Azteca. Bring it on.

A chance to get our team used to playing in that atmosphere (in both senses of the word)!

I guess they've developed a taste for losing there.

is this a fifa intenational date?I believe so. (http://soccernet.espn.go.com/fixtures?league=uefa.euroq&date=20070901&type=month&cc=5901) There are Euro2008 qualifiers scheduled on Sept 8th (Sat) and Sept 12th (Wed).

As an LA Galaxy fan dismayed at the G's lack of depth and the horrific schedule in front of us from July through mid-October...

I fully endorse this game and the inclusion of LD on the roster.

Bring. It. On.

Mexico City is at 2400 meters, I believe. It's definitely under the 2500 mark.

What about that high-altitude nonsense?

Azteca is like 250 feet below the limit... Gee, wonder if Sepp knew that when choosing max limit?

Great!!! Maybe they can get Blanco to pull another Zidane out there and take home the 2-0 victory!

Well...props to the Federation for being willing to go into the belly of the beast...perhaps when we see Paraguay we can get some pointers as to how it's done...;)

(Wonder if Hugo will still be coaching them in September, or if we'll see the return of LaVolpe...or possibly Ojitos Meza...)

No way in hell Lavolpe ever gets anywhere near FMF again.
