Our best two players, two players that not one club in the Premiership wouldn't like to have (and I don't think that's too presumptuous), have signed for five whole years. I could not be happier.

...and a lot of people haven't been real happy with the lack of transfer activity.
Moyes and Kenwright fully understand to take care of the talent you already have on the books.
Great work by the two of them and I'm extremely happy that Arteta and Cahill will be around for a long time to come.

w00t!!!
i do heart those two... now honestly i have a place in my heart just for AJ (that 3-0 pic just made my day :)) but mikky and timmy c (along with timmy h - mls-represent!) also have little bits of my heart. :)
i really hope that other prospective players see how we treat our current roster and how we take care of them and also the pride they have in playing for us, the happiness they have to be toffees and think that maybe we are a great choice, even if we don't have the best monetary offer or whatever.

This is great news for sure. Moyes has done a good job of bringing in talent for the most part when you add in AJ, Lescott and Howard to these two.
I remember the first time I saw Arteta play for Everton and you could just see he had something special and truly great skill with the ball, which this team was missing.
Cahill is as hard nosed a player as there is in the league. He has pace, jumping ability and he's not afraid to get dirty on the defensive side.
I'm so fortunate to have found Everton in 2004. What a great group of guys to follow and pull for.

Great news! I hope Timmy C has a better season injury wise this year.
