Jonathan DeGuzman interview at CBC

I don't know if anyone caught that on CBC radio today, they broadcasted a great clip on Jonathan De Guzman, in wich they interviewed Jonathan, his Father and his friend and former teammate Jaime Peters.

I will try to find it on CBC website, but to summarize, Jonathan dreams to play with is brother in the NT and he is a proud Canadian. However, he also dreams of playing in a WC and that's why he may try his chance with the Dutch NT. His father also seems to push him in that direction.

Jonathan also said that he will wait an other year before making his decison. So I guess that a great year by our national team could help to convince him!!

Is De Guzman even good enough to start for the Dutch NT?

I believe the better question would be "Is De Guzman even good enough to be selected for the Dutch World Cup roster at all?". I think you can safely assume that De Guzman, as good as he is, would not be starting on a full-strength Dutch NT anytime soon. There U-22 squad that just won the world cup is filled with great young talent that will make it very hard for JDG to crack the Dutch lineup.
