I have been absent for over a year but intend on posting again frequently so I thought I would just re-introduce myself again for all those who never saw me posting before.

I am 25 and from Belgium. However, I am not living there anymore as I decided to chase my travelling dreams. I spent 3 years in Ireland (Dublin and Belfast) and recently relocated to Turkey. I hope to stay in Turkey for at least a year and at a later stage Israel and Norway are on my list to also spend a longer time there. But that is future plans, my focus now is Turkey.

I am a devote football fan and a fanatic groundhopper. My big passion are old stadiums that have escaped from modernising and that still look authentic as if they never changed in a few decades. Also I like stadiums in bizarre locations. I also collect data of football clubs from all over the world, including obscure places outside of the FIFA world. At the same time I also follow the top-of-the-world leagues so you can say I follow football as much as I can, from the glories of the Serie A to the amateur charms of the Greenlandic leagues.

My favourite teams are KV Oostende (from my native Belgium) and Rosenborg BK. I do sympathise with other teams in other countries without truly calling myself a fan. I also heavily sympathise with mainly the Norwegian national team (because of the many Rosenborg players) but also with a few others such as Israel, Iceland, etc for other reasons.

I am also passionate about travelling (see above) and music. Mainly a gothic and new-wave fan but also into indie and metal to a certain extend. I mainly fancy music with strong meaningful lyrics. Art should not be recreative, it should be a medium to spread a message (that is my point of view). Favourite bands: Echo & The Bunnymen, Placebo, Muse, The Smiths, Bauhaus, Siouxsie & The Banshees, Silke Bischoff, A Perfect Circle, Manic Street Preachers, ... Latest discovery and about to become a serious fan: Orphaned Land.

Some other facts about me: I am an Aspie. I am vegetarian.

The reason for being absent so long were rather complicated but I intend to frequently post here again. If any questions, please ask :)

You no longer mention Shelbourne? :)

I still love the Shels but there was not enough room in my profile to fill in the full names of the teams I really follow. So I left Ostend and Rosenborg because I follow those already for 15 years while Shelbourne is a more recent crush. But I still love Shels of course and it is painful to see the drop to the First Division. On the other hand, I am happy the club is still existing and seems to focus on making the club financially healthy again. I would not care if we don't win further trophies for years, as long as the club is financially sane again so that the further long-term existance of the club is secured.
